Most people are assuming here they would surely get visa after 15 months. I wish you all will get visa even before that but sorry to say this is not the case.
If you read carefully on CIC website about processing time.
.." The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014."
Even after 15 months, nothing will change. They never say we'll SURELY process your file within 15 months. After 15 months, only one thing may be changed, MP enquiry. Now you are being asked to do after 3 months then you might do it every month. But MPs would say whatever they will be advised by NDVO I think same background checks are still going on ( don't know why they are doing so quick for 2014 applicants).
My last NOTES was generated on 22 August. On 24 April, they passed my eligibility and I got medical re-assessment request. On same day, Visa Officer asked ( to junior officer) to send me an email for signing authority form in order to get PCC from New Zealand. But I received that email on 27 May. And I came to know by NOTES, they sent my Authority Form to Sydney office on 9 July in order to get PCC from NZ. SO basically, they did nothing on my file from 24 April to 9 July ( they passed my medical meantime).
We ( I & even some people from 2012 forum) are waiting here more than 15months due to background checks from some countries. But few people here ( without any travel history) who have done their re-medical 3 months ago are still waiting while most 2014 applicants are getting visa within 7-8 months. How can they justify this.
I think the only thing we may do to put more pressure on Federal Government by our MPs to clear backlog because CIC does whatever they are being asked to do by Federal Government. And please request your relatives in Canada that NEVER vote for Conservatives again.
