Hello All,

I would really appreciate your suggestion/feedback from someone in the same situation or has pretty good knowledge about this:

1) Can I (sponsor and Canadian citizen) travel to India for 2 months to see my wife? Will it cause any problems during the processing of the application?
2) As per the current trends, my wife's visa might be issued sometime in Feb 2015. Can I bring her along with me to Canada once her visa is issued (given that my tourist visa to India is not expired by that time)? Will it cause any problems when we enter Canada?

Anyone who was or is in the same situtation and planning to visit their spouse in India, please let me know.

Cheers,
Dpatel

Thanks for the quick response Hurryup!

I can forward all the flight tickets, receipts and pictures (taken up until from the date I go to India to the date I forward them to NDVO) I forward it to NDVO. Do we have to send all other commmunnication details between me and wife again after filing the application with future tickets, boarding passes, etc? we already sent a tonne of proof in our application as I went to India twice before (once for engagement in august 2013 and Marriage in dec 3013) so we have lots of proof that we already submitted.

hi there-

I Sponsored my husband on November 2013 and came to India this June waiting for his Visa so that we can go back together. Unfortunately, he did not get visa yet but we are just worried since I am staying out of country for three months and I am leaving next month to avoid further complications on my PR and file.

A PR can stay about 6 months out of country. It really does not affect the application process but why take a chance. I suggest you visit your wife for couple of months (maybe 2-3months) and return back just to be on a safe side. I did an MP enquiry and she suggested me this too. Just dont notify NDVO about the visit..never know what those idiots are upto.

Anyway wish you a speedy visa..

if you are a Canadian citizen then nothing to worry about it...you can stay as long as you want...
its my own experience...my husband is also citizen and he stay 1.5 months after marrie ge and 3.5 months in dec to march when my baby's arrived. ...
so relax just enjoy ur visit and wait for ur wife's visa then came back together whether it takes 2 or 4 months. ..

No problem with that, you can stay for whatever duration you want.My wife(citizen and sponsor) is with me since we got married 2 years ago.
