I think visa officer felt why it was not genuine because we didn;t Submitted any ritual picture or letter from the Priest regarding our marriage. We only submitted court marriage certificate.

Thats the only reason mentioned on 2 pages.

Actually, we did very small marriage. I had a marriage in the Temple where me, my spouse, my sister and lawyer present. We took few pictures but we forget to take pictures of phere but we did Phere. Even not with my sister but her name is mentioned on witness on Arya samaj certificate which I got it today.

From the marriage certificate we got a court certificate and my spouse got her Residence permit of India. I don;t understand how its not valid when Indian immigration accepted.

I also have US and Europe visa where I mentioned my spouse details. They even accepted. That's strange.

I would like to share my file details and need your valuable inputs for the same.

I have sponsored my wife on OCT 3rd 2013,
File approved by Mississauga CIC - OCT 18th 2013,
Received Passport Request from New Delhi - Nov 1st 2013
Passport Sent to New Delhi -

he is a fake astrologist..according to the chart you gave me, your raghu and ketu are not aligned yet...so 8th is not the day you will get it..it is aug 15th independence day when no one works...

Medical for my wife was sent without chest xray - as she was pregnant Nov 8th - 2013
I was blessed with a child in Feb - 2014
Re-medicals of my wife with x-rays and my child in March - 2014
Submitted copies of Birth certificate and passport of my child - March 2014
At the same time submitted the application to add my child in CIC Missisauga which was approved in April 2014.
On May 1st I have received e-mail from NVDO to submit my divorce petition -- which was sent and received by them on May 5th they gave 30 days upon which the decision will be taken.

After that i haven't heard from them at all -- They haven't even asked for my child's passport yet -- Its been more than 90 days now since the ADR was submitted and I have no updates from NVDO still the status shows Application Received.

Not sure what should be my next step - Shall i contact them via e-mail and ask them status on my file ?

I applied for notes last week and expected to be delivered on August end.

so you are PR holder in Canada right. .? if u are Oct applicant then wait for few days you sure received any kind of news...you submitted ur baby's and wife's another documents so it will take time. .bcoz now u hv a dependent in ur file...and apart frm ADR so I don't understand everybody who received ADR req why they take so much time. ..

if you send them email firstly they won't reply and if by chance they will reply then its computer genetic ans...so wait for notes and do an MP enquiry its better option. ..

My hopes are also dying..so many applicants getting ADR and than nothing done about their file..it's really frustrating..hang on guys..

don't loose hope they just started Nov files so in a few weeks ur turn also...so don't think too much

IMPROVE YOUR COMMUNICATION SKILLS – I cannot stress the importance of this more that what has already been said by many senior people on this forum. When you apply for jobs initially you are nothing but a voice on a phone claiming to have studied something and worked somewhere and to know so many things. If this voice is not clearly understandable then the person at the other end will most probably not belive the information or will atleast be doubtful, also he may not want to continue a conversation which he is not able to understand. I am not saying every new immigrant should speak the queen's English with a perfect accent. But every immigrant should be able to speak clear English without any mother tongue influence, every immigrant should be able to communicate his ides and thoughts clearly in a manner in which anybody anywhere in the world can understand. Even on this forum itself if you see many people post in very poor English, this is not because they don't know English, this is because they are thinking in their mother tongue and then doing a direct translation or transliteration into English!! If you want to make an impression on potential employers then please polish your English skills, you may clear IELTS and may have studied and spoken English for many years but that still doesn't mean you know the language well. Here is a simple test, watch an English serial on youtube without subtitles, try to write down the dialogues and then watch it with subtitles and see how much of the dialogues you got right. This will tell you how much you understand the accent and the language. Remember English is not our language its theirs and therefore they are the ones who decide what correct English is not you and me!!

Food and Groceries

if you have just moved to Canada and don't have a job in hand, you don't want to drain all your savings in the first few months itself. If you live in and around Toronto, you have the following supermarkets options for buying food itemsNo Frills, Walmart, Loblaws (expensive), and
lots of smaller grocery stores
when you come from your home country ensure that you carry essential food items, for example Indians may want to carry curry powder, dry spices etc. I am an Indian by birth hence suggesting things from an Indian perspective. Don't waste your luggage space by carrying kilos of rice or wheat flour or pulses, all these things are available in plenty in Canada and not so expensive also!!

Normal household expenses for a family of 3-4 for one month

Rent – 1000-1500 ( don't look for fancy apartments when you land, you only need a clean safe place to stay, you can move to fancy place once you settle down)
•Groceries – 500-750
•Mobile/Internet – 150 – You should get a Vonage (www.vonage.ca) phone once you have a house to stay. This is very cost effective and gives you unlimited calling to 60 countries for just 30-40 CAD per month. This is extremely cost effective if you want to keep in touch with people back home. I have one and am using it on daily basis. But remember it will not work without internet connection.
•Cable TV – Initially don't invest in all this, you may have a family and they may get bored at home, encourage them to explore the areas near your house rather than sit at home and watch Hindi/Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu channels. Remember independence is key factor every family member except little kids must be able to do things on their own and know what to do in case of emergencies. Worst case if you have internet and laptop you can watch the programs online.
•Travel expenses – 100-150 – you can get train/bus/tram pass for a month this will be really useful to help you commute. If you are in Toronto you can get a weekend pass which can be used by a family instead of just one person. Check this website for more details

I have a question ... what is this temple certificate ... in mumbai they dont give temple certificate we had got just a parchi..... but in hindi .... then we registered it and forwarded the registration and court document of our marrige .... is that gud or do i need to get the temple parchi translated n sent it to the consulate?
