It's very strange the way Canadian govt. is handling this strike though.. I mean less visitor/students would mean considerable loss of revenue for the govt., but the way things are going it seems as if they are sitting down and waiting for PAFSO to withdraw the strike by themselves rather then getting into negotiations. Even they don't want to get into negotiations, they should hire substitute staff to atleast clear the backlog. Delaying or stopping work for 2 and half months isn't a joke when people have paid money and are waiting to reunite with their families. Really disappointed with the Canadian govt. policies !!

Agreed completed. This is beyond shocking...both PAFSO and Harper Govt. are being STUBBORN like little kids without giving ANY considertion to immigrants and their families affected.

I have booked an appointment with my MP on friday to make them aware how screwed up this whole situation is....i guess something is better than nothing. People need to put more pressure on both parties.

PAFSO's facebook page needs to be flooded with requests ...i strongly advise to visit their page.

Also, let him know if possible that we have paid with the condition that they process our application within the 10month time frame as mentioned on the website (and 80% of applications within 6 months). Strike is no excuse for them to delay our applications, it is their problem, they need to solve it by hook or by crook. That's exactly the point, why should we suffer cuz of their stupid conflict. I do not care about PAFSO getting higher wages or Canadian govt. losing or earning revenue out of immigration. All I care about is that I have a pregnant wife waiting for me so that I can be there at the time when my child is born.. I mean these people do not even consider the trauma we are going through. I am starting to hate Canada already.

Also,I think International students need to get in touch with International Student Organizations from their respective universities..and get this matter in limelight...PAFSO or HARPER cannot play with their education or careers. I feel the reason why this strike has been going on for so long is because its not getting enough attention.So we need to be proactive rather than crying about it.

I HAVE SUBMITTED PASSPORT ON JULY 8, 2013 AND DELHI OFFICE RECEIVED IT ON 10TH JULY......WHEN I CHECK STATUS ONLINE.. IT SHOWS NOTHING.....CAN SOMEONE TELL ME IF IT IS NORMAL..
