Congratulations for DMs ... Can someone tell me how can i request passport back from NDVO? And is it wise to apply for a visitor Visa in the meantime as its my birthday next month and I want my husband to be here in Canada with me?? Just wondering...

if you apply visitor visa they will refuse it...
you are Sept applicant and ur medical expires in 1 month so my suggestion is don't do anything now..just keep pateince if ur case is straight forward then maybe they will call u to fly before ur medical expires...hv you evr apply notes..?

As most of the members have already said if you will apply visitor visa, then there are 95 % chances of refusal . Which is correct too. But i think it depends on each and every case. I had applied after my marriage and i had got Canadian visa for 10 years. Because i had my two wedding receptions , one was in India and second was in Canada.
I have one little query, i do have 10 years of existing multiple visa of Canada, will NDVO issue me new visa or it will be the same older visa to re enter in Canada ?
And i am from Punjab too ( from Phagwara).

M waiting after ADR sent on 9th july,2014. And medical expires on 5th August,2014.

they hv not fixed time. .sometimes in the morning or evening. ..you hv just approximate 15 days..so what I think is they will send you remedical request bcoz there are lots of people who hv ADR and they wait for so many days..what ur status shows. .?

they will issue new visa...its ur permanent resident visa so its life long..when ur visa arrived then sure share that its new one or not...all the best

I got IP on 11th July, exact after 1 month wait of my ADR request mail. My medicals were done on 16th of Aug 2013, will be expiring nearly in a months time, Now i am worried as they have not changed my status to DM. I really don't want to go into the process of re-medicals as its another few months waste of time. Really worked up now.

I did not want to post my status update and I thought I would alarm other Oct applicants, but then in the last few months starting from AUg applicants - NDVO has started asking for ADR in case of a doubt. We have seen them ask for Additional Pics from 2nd visit, Continued phone call, divorce petition etc. Until yesterday I was dreading an ADR. So my point is if you have not received an ADR as an Oct applicant then you are in a better situation and IP should come by quickly. Best of luck. Inshallah.

Your post is much appreciated, thanks for letting us know about your status. Today many applicants have received good news , I am sure we all must be very excited after today's developments. It seemed to be a very dry week otherwise. However, I am still not convinced that my file is going 'in process' soon. I cannot rule out an ADR at this point.
Initially, I thought my case was straightforward (We had an orthodox punjabi marriage (arranged), not too many guests though, around 300). But now I think my file may have red flags, however, not sure what they may consider as a flag : : :?

1. I spent almost 3 years outside Canada after becoming PR.
2. After marriage we went to Dubai where I was working, stayed there for 1 year before going back to India. Since, I was on the verge of loosing the Canadian PR, so I finally decided to move to Canada.
3. We submitted around 60-70 pics.
4. Didn't submit any phone bills.
5. Didn't change wife's surname. Her passport is from Dubai. Both our passports have each other's name.
6. I am from Punjab, could this be a red flag?

I don't know which of the above could be a problem.
