Folks I have a question.

I have applied for spousal sponsorship on January 28th, 2014 to CPC-Mississauga and Approval was provided on February 25th, 2014.

File is now in NVDO and I have heard that they ask for passport quite quickly from applicants.

My wife is currently with me in Canada and plans to stay till August.

Is there a way to get around her returning when NVDO asks for the passport.

You can either ignor the first request as it is a general letter, or you can respond to them that your wife is currently in Canada and you will submit the passport at the final stage. I would suggest to send them the copy of the visa on which your wife has entered in Canada. They do accept that. So atleast in this way you are updating them about your situation.

Thanks - I have already included a copy of the visitor visa as part of the application to let them know she is currently with me in Canada but I believe that is not really going to stop them from asking for the passport anyways.

I think that you make a good point though - at least letting them know that we are living together in Canada at least indirectly adds to the legitimacy of the application.

under eligibility due date is 24 may 2014
Under security due date is 22 June 2013
Under criminality due date is 22 june 2013
Under medical due date is 22 may 2014
What is that mean

due date sometimes it means when they will review your file again and sometimes it may mean when the document is expiring (like medical results)..just because they have a deadline by which they will review that particular section, it does not mean they will wait till that date to review that section. If they receive all the paperwork for that section while reviewing other sections then they will review this one too...I wouldn't worry too much about due dates, it is mostly internal notes to help paperwork moving...I guess if they put due date then they can work on other applications till computer reminds them to review this one (like a deadline to review).

Since you asked.. flight wouldnt really matter. you can take anything from china southern which gives you the shortest route to lufthansa or british airways which will be quite long.
my suggestion... dont go for china southern.. they are the most terrible flights ever. china eastern and air china are cheap and good to travel.

As i said before that its normal if they havent updated your medicals on Ecas. I dont think they will reply back but you can try. I think you need to apply for GCMS notes in few months so you can find out if they received your medicals. Just dont worry about it now.
