You can either ignor the first request as it is a general letter, or you can respond to them that your wife is currently in Canada and you will submit the passport at the final stage. I would suggest to send them the copy of the visa on which your wife has entered in Canada. They do accept that. File is now in NVDO and I have heard that they ask for passport quite quickly from applicants.
My wife is currently with me in Canada and plans to stay till August.
Is there a way to get around her returning when NVDO asks for the passport.
