Hi everyone,

I've been chatting with waiting2exhale on private message, and by looking through my gcms notes, it might be possible that a PPR for my wife's application was made. He suggessted that I should post this in this thread to get some extended help on the meaning of the following information. On page 15 of my notes, after listing the outgoing information under the "Correspondence" section, specifically in section "incoming:5", it does state the following information;

Anyone with good knowledge of how to assess gcms notes, confirm what exactly the above information means. Please & Thank you.

It is definitely Passport request info, as i understand it says passport request was sent to you via a letter (must be an email....trackin letter ID also mentioned) on June 14th, 2013. Status of PPR remains requested on Nov 6th, 2013. You might have missed the PPR......happens all the time with NDVO

That's great! Congrats. Was it easy to do that? How long did it take? Do you think we can change India's driving licence to a Canadian one the same way?

Exchange of license is only applicable to jurisdictions who have license exchange agreement with canadian province you are going to be in.....i think few states from US are part of the list....you can see this link for Alberta for example http://www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca/1671.cfm

My ecase still shows application received. i missed call from NDVO. i m planing to apply for GCMS note. when they generally call back, if we missed their call. pls share ur same experience.thnx

That sounds good news isnt it? They might have called you for a short interview but unfortunately you missed their calls. I hope its really good news for.you. try to email NDVO that you missed their calls or find out from GCMS once you get it. When does your medical.expire? Wish you a speedy visa!

now my ecas showing medicals has been recieved
file has been in process since 10th jan
so what will be next
nd in how much time i can expect decision made any idea

You should hear dm soon since it has been 2 months after IP. When did you send re medicals to NDVO? Wish you a speedy visa!

they replied to the mail i sent them asking if they received my wife's passport. Although its a computer generated generic mail. but atleast they bothered sending even that.

Thanks alot for your timeline. I see that your medicals expire in may so why worry too much about that. You still have time to get visa before medicals expire. Maybe you will hear good news next month soon. Just be positive about it. Why dont you apply for gcms notes? It will show you if they have started on your file yet.

NDVO has changed my wife's email address(it was entered wrong as I came to know from 1st GCMS notes) and updated that passport has been received on Jan 2014.Medical is passed.

Criminal and Security background has not been started so the situation is almost the same.

Any idea when NDVO start doing the criminal and security background check ?

At least you know your medical is cleared. Does your e-cas show medical results received?

You applied in September 2013, I applied in July 2013 and nothing has been started on my file yet, this sort of gives you an idea of how far off you are. I would say in May of this year they might start looking at September files, just hang in there friend
