Hello Everyone!

I am a July applicant and I have been tracking this forum since a long time for updates. First of all, I would like to thank all the forum members for being a constant support to each other in the course of this long wait. As we all know, we get married with great hopes of being together with our loved ones and have a bright future. But all our dreams are just shattered with this existing visa processing timelines. I could see people who wish to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversaries happily together are still struck in this pain of wait by just praying for their visas soon. Now putting forward few of my questions here.

1. Why is NDVO taking so long to process our applications inspite of the strike getting over? As we could see, hardly there are less than 5 applicants a week with status change!!
All of us are with a positive hope that this new year 2014 would bring some significant change with NDVO in granting more visas and I find it to be a big disappointment with relatively less no of IP & DM compared to NOV 2012.

2. Why is NDVO not transparent to anyone? Basically a country's immigration system should be framed in such a way that there is easy way of communication between the immigrants and the immigration office. But here we are being bullied that if we try to contact NDVO, our visa processing time might be delayed!!
So then how do we come to know what is actually happening to our files even after submitting our passports more than half a year before?!?!

3. Is there no bilateral coordinator between India & Canada to look at these issues? India being a democratic country should definitely involve in resolving such issues with a foreign country for better migration!!

4. What is the use of GCMS notes & MP query when we very well know that our files will not be touched for months together?

I know most of have us all these questions lingering in our minds everyday when we check for our visa status in the website. Finally here is one last question which I wonder has anyone of us ever made a thought of it!!

5. Why don't we people join hands together to raise this serious issue to the New Delhi office directly? We just cant be patient for all the time with no factual information about our processing. Just imagine there are so many couples like us who are just waiting and very uncertain on what is actually happening in reality! Its our right to ask and its their duty to answer as after all its about our visas!!

Looking forward for all your views in this regard.

NDVO office directly ???? as if they care they will kick us out...

firstly we r the one who want visa they knw if we wanna go we will wait... about processing time i dnt knw d given time is minimum or maximum as my mp said tis is d MINIMUM processing tym n ndvo is so bz in issuing other visas that they wont review ma file until april.. im a feb applicant its over 365 days now im still waiting with no update my ecas shows application rcvd only no meds update mp said interview recommended but no update still waiting... take some decision interview dm or anything its high tym to gv sme update...

i sometimes feel like giving in news paper abt this waiting game.. yesterday i read in a news paper that usa immigration process will b easy wht abt canada why cnt they do this? i dnt knw wht to do..

I cant explain how happy I am at the moment. OMG, my wife got her visa on Feb 11. It is a dramatic story.

Some of you guys might remember my last post telling that I am leaving for India from Montreal on Feb 7 evening. Around that time, it has been already two days and I did not check ecas as I was scared to see the same status. Anyway, I landed in India early morning Feb 9 and is with my wife ever since.

Remember, Feb 14 is our anniversary and I so wanted to be with my wife no matter what. So today, my wife and I left vizag to my mother's place which is 2 hours away. I decided not check ecas for at least another 5 days.

Guess what, as we were reaching my city, my mother-in-law calls us to tell she got our visa packet. We missed her call multiple times and she called the whole world that my wife got her visa. We were the last ones to know that we got visa, lol.

We will only get our hands on the passport tomorrow, cant really wait.

So I check the status now and the following is there:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 30, 2013.

2.We started processing your application on February 4, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

We are very happy however my wife may not come with me this time as my last brother may get married in March and then we both will come. The validity is until March 30, 2014. (Medicals done April 1, 2013), so they gave us exactly one year validity, not even 2 weeks.

We could have fallen into depression if it is not for this forum and the great members it has. Thank you for keeping the positivity and rest assured my prayers will be there for everyone to get their visas soon.
