I am about leave Montreal for India to be with my wife for our marriage anniversary on Feb 14. Although we both are very happy about going to being together, our hearts are heavy with the fact that the visa is still app received. I am honestly scared to check ECAS any more. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing in our file that would warrant an interview let alone delays. NDVO became immigration lords, it is unbelievable.

So is it basically that all the remaining May applicants are queued for interviews and some heard back and some did not.

Hey do you have any idea about interview process. Like I will be sitting infront of they officer and answering him. I heard they sometime call sponsor at the same time. Do you think they will call my wife and ask her to stay on the phone.

couple of pages back, Sahil, a forum member, posted a copy of actual interview letter that he had received. Take a look at it. If the sponsor is overseas, they might talk to him/her (note that it is not they will since it is left to the discretion of the visa officers) but should be by the phone in case they want to talk. If the sponsor is in India, then he/she will be asked to come with sponsored person. Sometimes they let both parties sit and answer questions; sometimes it is one after the other to compare notes as to sponsored person said first and then compare it with sponsored person; sometimes it is just sponsored person only...

you are correct...one did not even get passport request....

Hello friends.. I just want to ask a question, once you get your passport back with the visa is there any dead line that you have to enter canada within 30 days or something like that?? Or u can enter canada after 2 months?? What do you guys think?? Reply asap, thanks..!!

most of them were based on medicals expiration date...you have to enter Canada before medicals expires unless they have been extended..Confirmation of Perm. Residency would have a date by which one has to enter Canada.

I think its suban. He had to redo medicals and then in IP finally. His medicals almost expired so he had to do it again. Not sure if anyone got expired while in IP. Otherwise, NDVO would extend for a month or less. So crazy of NDVO. Dont worry you will be kicked out of this forum soon.

But I am already in IP and by the time my meds expire it will be exactly 3 months of IP so was just wondering will I be through before that.....

I believe you dont have to redo medicals since you are in IP already. Can u believe mumbai000 got a call from NDVO and his medicals expired on 21st Jan but extended it on 21 Feb. i hope that you will get dm very soon and fly before medicals expire. Is it in March right? Be positive.
