I check it once in the morning then that's it....so accordingly I did my duty and those two lines are like a broken gram phone (teenagers are scratching their heads..gramphone what is that) record stuck at the same song line...

Man!! I have been checking everyones timeline here. God its a long wait. A friend of mine sponsored his wife back in 2009. In 57 days..his wife got her visa in the mail. Total processing time from application received by CPC-M to passport received with shiny visa ...57 days.

Now! I have to go through the same process...with timelines atleast 4-6 times longer. Miss the good old days...where you can take your spouse to the embassy with a marriage certificate and couple of marriage pictures...
Visa issued on the spot...

that was so 2009.....I think it is due to Canadian conservative govt that views every application for immigration suspiciously; increase in fraudulent cases from india; strikes etc just pushed the process to a year or more...if you think 57 days of processing of an application was extraordinary, i have relatives who applied in 1960s and 1970s who got their visas in less than a month (maybe I should talk to some British Raj survivor who would say those days consulate diplomats came knocking on my door and issued me visas on the spot)...

you are right bro. it used to be a great immigration system at the time of liberals but since the conservatives came into power immigration is screwed up big time

My husband did Mp enquiry few days back. We got a following reply:

''I have good news for you today.
Your sponsorship has been approved today.
The visa will be stamped in your wife passport in the next weeks (2-3 weeks)

Regards''

our ecas still shows ip but i think decision has been made yesterday.
