I remember reading somewhere "80% of spousal visas will be granted in 6-8 months" but don't know where, does anyone know???

CIC website....it doesn't count strikes; ND Visa Officers taking time of after hard work (yeah, right); also it is just an average and each case is different; if you look at Myrah's spreadsheet most do get within 8 -10 months but those who were left out or take longer (interview scheduled or complicated case) should be informed appropriately and not having to know after a year...

Is the processing for a child same as spouse?? If it's yes that's really sad they shld make children priority !! I can't ever imagine coming back or dealing with ndvo again!! Never again!!

never say never...your relatives are all counting on you to use your name for recommendation when they apply for their visas...visa officer 'application from mohandas gandhi relative of Myrah? next application please...'

I am flying in less than 24 hrs for New Delhi for our interview... The stress is at the maximum level!!! But also feeling so excited to see my hubby in less than 48 hrs!

good luck...your relationship is genuine and no visa officer with his/her stupid questions is going deny that...

hi guys could u tell ,me.. I applied for my wife ..she lives in india..I have her UCI no. as well as file no. but when I go to cic.gc.ca . they shows me nothing..i need to know.. every body has same or just mine.. Only sponsor can check with his uci no..not with applicant uci no....thx

both of them can check .. with identification type you choose UCI and enter UCI number which does not have a letter in front of the 8 digit number..if you want to use file number to check, choose file number from the drop down list and enter file number which starts with a letter

when did you apply? NDVO does not respond soon..call CIC call center they might tell you to contact ND visa office..or call NDVO directly and if you are lucky someone decent might give you an update...there has been one or two cases like yours in this forum so don't panic and they resolved the issues

I applied in june 2013-aor received in 10 july 2013..pp req 15 aug..then nothing happen..can u suggest me how can I make my setting of my timeline..so every body can c it..thx

ndvo's no 011-41782000; call them you may have to try couple of times to get through them; as for timeline you can do it after you post 10 times..so start congratulating and thanking some people to get to that target..start with me....I think desi-girl has authorization to enter data in spreadsheet so send her your timeline to her and she will enter it in spreadsheet...

there you are with timeline....you have a long way (may be two more months) to go before you see any changes to your status..NDVO does not touch the file for six months...

Yes im all set to leave Mumbai last few days with family such an emotional time goin on.... :-X.....once u get the visa and u realise u actually are leaving that's when reality hits u.......not so easy....maybe the most difficult phase of my life leaving my family even more diff than waiting for this visa hopefully will see them soon once I get my pr card passport shld be coming max by Monday leaving Wednesday night..... now I really hope this pp comes before my flight hahahah omg another waiting

Yeah, hopefully you get your passport back before your flight.
Not wanting to scare you but this reminds me of what had happened to one of my friends. She had given her passport to another friend to submit her passport to get a visit visa stamped and had her flight already booked (the only seat available at the time). My friend had enough time to get the passport back with a few days to spare but the other friend could not submit it on time. After an almost nervous breakdown, my friend got her passport back in her hand delivered by the postman a few hours before she was supposed to leave for the airport to catch her flight. It was a really close call.

This leaving to go far away is the difficult part but with Skype and phone accessibility, its really great to close the long distances and keep in touch with each other. And it is not like you aren't going to be able to visit India now and then. But since your packing has already been done, take all the time to enjoy being with your family.

you can try with both your uci number as well as sponsored ones . you need to give correct date of birth and surname as per passport and
birth place

it worked fr me
