quick question all... how long is the visa valid for? my friend got his passport yesterday and the visa is valid only for 30 days... is that normal ?

Is that visit visa or family visa That may the time before he/she needs to enter canada.

I believe these st__id NDVO officers don't want us to figure out that everything is done on the file. I guess they are just playing the time game to dispatch visa. If they leave all data open, then it leaves room for argument by applicants: as they may question back "as to why they are not sending out visa if everything is completed on file?" And one of the reason for getting notes after a delay of 30days is these notes goes to various hands to block these useful information.

hey same is in my case. i got security blank but i can see clearly that they erased . it seems like passed but erased. any idea??

Hi, I am an october 2013 applicant, my sponsor got Step 1 SA approval in nov and it has been 2 months I am waiting for ppr, is there any possibility that my consultant lost the email, as I have seen mostly people get ppr in 15-20 days from NDVO, do I need to contact VO.
There is an october blog but people are no longer posting updates there, so i thought to ask you guys as almost all of you have gone through this.

I am a May applicant and I am still waiting for passport request. It's possible that NDVO sometimes forgets to send passport request. Eventually they have to ask for passport. In a way I consider it is ok since I don't want to give my passport to them and get stuck in case if I need it. Your option is to do case specific inquiry to New Delhi visa office and ask for passport request. It would take 2 months to get some response from them. Other option is to order notes to see if they have sent the request and somehow it was missed in the email.

did you order email version or slow mail version (mailing CD version)? wait for few more days. I guess you can ask your MP as to why you have not received notes (he/she may not be of big help and would give you the standard 'within processing time frame' BS...but no harm in trying and you will never know).

I complete 259 days of application today hope this weekend we get loads of updates on e-cas

you completed 3000+ posts..wonder Myrah the rock of optimism would be if it is other way around..3000+ days waiting and 259 posts...there is a story in South Indian mythology where wife burnt whole city (no need.. I know.. but I guess she couldn't deal with pollution and population of the city) when she was accused of having affair with someone else. Myrah would be burning NDVO building if she has to wait for 3000+ days for visa.

you should outsource that job to someone else and I am available, work for minimum wage but in dollars though

bunch of oct applicants just like you and I have seen 'nothing started' in their notes...wonder if it is the same lazy visa officer handling all our cases...
