Yes you can apply from India you should attach canadian address proff like passport pr card or license and u need to pay 5dollars if u are a pr.

So the first Question is I am using the UCI- I received from Toronto- when I applied for my wife. Will my wife get an other UCI number when passport request is made- and does that give more information than my UCI?

We received your application to sponsor _______ on September 5, 2013.
We sent you a letter on November 19, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence Application Status

We received ________ application for permanent residence on September 5, 2013.
Medical results have been received.



Situation: When I called CIC on December 6th- they advised me my file has not yet reached Delhi and is in the process of going to Delhi.

Question- Is getting medical received a positive at this early stage? And is the time calculated according to the timeframe we have - when the file reaches Delhi- or according to what they say online for my case under (Permanent Residence-We received ________ application for permanent residence on September 5, 2013.Medical results have been received.)


Any advise from others would be appreciated.

babes for eg I filed my application on 19th april got sa and transfer on 19th june got my medicals recd on e-cas 30th june and I got my ppr on 19th july.............2 weeks bk I got to know my file was transferred late to delhi ...they only got it on 15th july not 19th june ........so the only good sign is that your medicals is clear.....ndvo has received it.... u have a long way now.... to get another update now... I guess u will be getting your ppr soon....

did u do your police clearance in feb or so? I think this means that your pcc is clear or passed by ndvo......

yes she will get her UCI no with the passport request mail..........they all have the same status the only difference is...hers will have ndvo and yours will have cic status as well as ndvo... so u can check anyone doesn't matter... all give the same status

Hello everyone hope you are all doing well. I have a question about the criminal check. My husband had his done on the 19 of september and i know that it expires after only 3 months. Our application has been sent out last week so the 1 of dec. I was wondering how they will process it. Is it valid as long as they receive it within the 3 month period or do they actually have to start processing ur file? I havnt seen any change on my act yet so im a bit worried it will expire and he will have to go get another one.

Thanks- yours was quick- around 4 months it changed to IP after passport request. My wife had a previous PR which she was requested to submit to Delhi and see if her PR was alive- or was advised to get that refusal letter-- which I had to send to CIC before I got the sponsorship approved.

Guess previous history with CIC might speed up some things- I guess- what you say?

According to me PCC is valid for 1 year- if from India- Passport office

nothing to worry I did my pcc in jan 2013 and applied 19th april 2013..... its valid for a year from the time u get the pcc.....

doubt it...coz even if u giving birth to a child ...ndvo doesn't care they don't speed up the process! one more thing if u don't get ppr by end dec apply for gcms notes...to see if u missed the ppr ....

really? I heard on this forum that it only valid for 3 months. If its a year then thats amazing! haaha took almost a full month for me to get it from him so 3 months cuts it short.
