thanks a lot, it means to others they only ask the recent passport.hjsj said:They want to see your current and ALL old passports. Mainly because they want to verify your travel history, if any.

Not sure if this will work but remember one thing if they deny u will make ur case complicated which would mean further delaysangel2117 said:Hi guys,
I wanted to know if anyone applied for TRV and got the visa ? What are the chances? My lawyer told me to apply for my husband from india new delhi and say that i am a canadian citizen and its hard for me to live in india for too long..i get sick etc... What do you guys think ?
I applied for my wife and it got rejected... but I am not a citizen like you... I am PR of Canada.... I feel mine got rejected because of not filing it properly by the consultant in India... not sure if it a good idea or not to apply for TRV...angel2117 said:Hi guys,

ummm....i dont think thats the case cuz i asked my lawyer and he said TRV is totally different from spousal sponsorship and different people deal with it....if it gets rejected it wont cause any problem in our spousal sponsorship case but i dunoe....ill have to ask him again.Sanju1986 said:Not sure if this will work but remember one thing if they deny u will make ur case complicated which would mean further delays
I think almost all cases are like yours when applying for TRV..they dont approve....and yes if we apply we will be filling everything ourselves....do you of anyone else here that is also a CITIZEN of Canada?gupta417 said:I applied for my wife and it got rejected... but I am not a citizen like you... I guess since your lawyer told you, I guess it should not be a problem but I strongly suggest to give maximum proofs for TRV and do it by yourself if possible... documents needed and process for TRV is clearly mentioned at cic.gc.ca. You can go through it.

From what I understand there is virtually only 5% percent chance to get a TRV while doing the app for PRV . If you do a search for " TRV" in this thread you can see the answers by many here from beforeangel2117 said:Hi guys,

We have seriously considered applying for TRV initially. I consulted with few experienced lawyers and they said it doens't hurt the PR process, as TRV is completely separate from PR application process. But it seems the chances are really low to get TRV approved for a PR applicant as they have strong intention to settle in Canada and not go back to India. It seems a few folks have tried and got thier TRV approved, but they had the conditions met clearly such as applicant's strong ties to India (working currently, properties on their name etc) which makes the applicatoin strong enough to prove that they will return back to India after 6 months of temporary visa.angel2117 said:Hi guys,

A lot of us were really waiting curiously for your approval, to get the positive vibes! We are glad for you!LunarNymph said:Hello Friends,
Thanks for all your warm wishes! ;D
@ gupta417 - My E-cas status never changed to 'In-Process'...it went straight from 'Application Received' to 'Decision Made'. This happened on March 8 - 10, not sure exactly when as I didn't check E-cas during those days.
@ Rahul_eni - The visa validity is for six months, which I understand is the maximum validity period.
Hang in there friends, good things are coming your way.
Congratulations and many thanks for your wishesLunarNymph said:Hello Friends,
