Hi all
I am a permanent resident of Canada and will apply for my spouse in Nov end
Our formal ceremony is in Oct 2014 next year in India
My spouse is in USA on work visa
We are choosing Ndvo
My fear is that once he gets the passport request, can we request them to get us the passport back before the travel day?
Has anyone had any such experiences?

If he gets his passport request by sept, cn he request it to be back in sept end?

Also his US work permit expires in Jan 2015, can he ask his passport back in case they dnt ask for it until November

What is the normal timeline?
And does Every1 need to go for an interview?

Hi Mitroh,
I am in similar situation. In my case, requested for 2nd PPR. As per my lawyer and also experienced forum members here, it is most common and okay.
So once the processing is done and when NDVO actually requires a passport for stamping, I guess they'll request the PP once again.

So inform your spouse not to submit the passport as long as it is actually required and request NDVO about this.

MYRAH, I HAVE SEEN YOU ARE VERY HELFULL, I HAVE A QUESTION PLS HELP ME TOO, MY HUSBAND WENT FOR HIS MEDICAL AND FOUND OUT HE HAS SUGAR IN HIS URINE , WOULD THAT REFUSE HIS APPLICATION?? I M SO WORRIED.

If having sugar in urine is a reason for refusal of application, 3/4 ths of people in this country if they were to apply for visa, would be denied. Even with communicable disease like TB, Canadian high commission does not deny visa but asks applicant to get cured and once doctor gives a note indicating that the person makes progress/cured then visa is given

I know its selfish... But truthfully, I would hate to see Myrah (our own champion member) and waiting2exhale and RD and a few others go cuz u guys are some of the few with ur cheerful personalities and comic relief and supportive messages that hold this forum like cement... What are we gonna do once u guys leave ?

hopefully NDVO does not read your post and delay my visa just to keep me around here longer....or you make arrangements with NDVO...lol...perhaps we can all have a reunion in Canada and make fun of NDVO there..just wondering how people after getting their visa and moving to Canada can help other people in this forum who are in this awesome (sarcasm, of course) waiting process

Application went in process on 12th October 2013

Today i got DM October 21, 2013.

Is there any one who missed the PPR email and found the request through GCMS notes

One year ago, at that time, we were about to start our wedding ceremony! One year later I'm in Canada... He's in India... Still no updates from CIC...

At least skype is there... We'll share that moment on skype together!!!
