Good news people ...
I got my passport back with the visa ...
Yayiii...flying to canada on the 6th of november ...
My pr visa was issued on the 11th of oct...ecas ...... changed to dec made on the 15th of oct ...And passport came by registered post today ie 19th oct and ticks booked for 6th nov till montreal

Yay! Congratulations! All that waiting and worrying is finally over.
Good luck with everything in Canada and have a happy married life with your spouse.
Dress warmly cuz it's going to be really cold there in November, especially since Montreal is further up north. But I heard it a beautiful place.

Hi Guys,

I got request for PPR on 20th Aug 2013. i send my Passport and requested document on 27th Aug 13 through Registered Blue dart courier service however not received any confirmation yet from Canadian high commission. I have also emailed them asking that they have received my passport or not however got no reply.

Can anybody tell me how to confirm that embassy has received my passport or not ? as its almost 2 months i am waiting.

Also how much time it usually takes to get passport back with Visa after PPR request in spouse case?

Hi all
I am a permanent resident of Canada and will apply for my spouse in Nov end
Our formal ceremony is in Oct 2014 next year in India
My spouse is in USA on work visa
We are choosing Ndvo
My fear is that once he gets the passport request, can we request them to get us the passport back before the travel day?
Has anyone had any such experiences?

If he gets his passport request by sept, cn he request it to be back in sept end?

Also his US work permit expires in Jan 2015, can he ask his passport back in case they dnt ask for it until November

What is the normal timeline?
And does Every1 need to go for an interview?
