Hey guys, talked to my frnd today. He came to canada on spousal immigration last year.
But he was in england for 2 years before that. So cic asked him for pcc from england durin his pr process.

In my case, my wife was in canada before as student. Do you guys think they gna ask for some kind of clearence from here. Or they can do criminal checks on their own behalf ?

Comments will be greatly appriciated.

I was also in Canada as a student for four years. I'm quite stressed out after reading your post. My application has been transferred to NDVO recently. I have a question for you which will greatly help me to know what to expect in this case. Did you submit your Canadian pcc before the CIC asked you or did you do it later after their request. Thank you

But only thing is that we got married in india and my wife is in india only. And i am sure rcmp wont issue pcc unless its requested by your own self. I cant request for her pcc here.

Applied PR of my wife in FEB 2013. We also have submitted the passport but Status is still same.

1) We received your application for permanent residence on February 14, 2013.

2) Medical results have been received.


As who applied on 5th feb, they have got the visa? Anyone does have any idea????

When i filed my application I was in canada untill i got a passport request.... so my dad sent me my india pcc and I got my canada pcc from there.... and they took my fingerprints to issue pcc in canada... so i don't know if u can apply pcc from hr behalf....

I guess i will wait. Hope they dont ask for it cz its gna slow the process further
But even if they gna ask for it, they will explain the procedure to get that too.

someone in ND 2012 applicants thread had prepared a list of people waiting for visa/interview there were 25 people waiting, waiting and waiting till the cows come home and go back for grazing again....it makes me wonder what could be the reason for more than a year long delay? is it their files fell through cracks or the crackheads in ND visa office simply forgot about them..or is it due to background checking..or the applications supporting documents are complicated...the frustration part is lack of transparency...once the file reaches the la la land of New Delhi visa office there is no transparency...a simple update on the ecas system would be so helpful ((they should have categories like' leave me alone, your file is in the deep pits (six levels down the basement) of visa office building due to background checks' or 'sorry we have no idea where your file is..we will find it in 3 months or earlier when the files can click their folder flap three times and say there is no place like ND visa office and magically appear like in wizard of oz'))
