Hi all,

I am new to this forum. My wife applied for the visa on the 11th of December 2012. She was approved as a sponsor in January 2013 sometime (don't know the exact date). Cic asked for my passport on the 2nd of April and I sent my passport on the same day. Since then it's been a month and I haven't heard anything from them. My online status also hasn't changed from the application received anyone knows how long is it going to take for them to grant me the visa?? Please attach me to your spreadsheet as well. Hope u all are fine!! No good news for the forum members during last week.....hopefully this week will bring success to all of us.....I am still waiting for my PPR....all day I keep on checking my emails and if someone knocks the door I run to check if its postman lol.....I guess everyone is going thru the same phase....wishing you good luck and hope Gulzar returns and update the timeline.

thanks buds, are you also waiting for the passport? i sent my passport by courier in the morning. do you have any idea how long it takes after ppr request?

I don knw how long it will take...Bust yes I am also waiting for the Passport to come back....(with a Visa)

i applied in march and got passport request from new delhi along with police certificates and landing fee. but these two documents we already submitted with file in missisauga. should i send my passport only to delhi or should i attach photocopies of other documents which they requested?

u got letter from ND office or email?
as i got letter today from ND office but written like
PCC and landing fee if not already paid..
so if we already submitted than we dont have
to submit again...

there are 3 things written in that letter.
1) submit landing fee if not already paid.
2) submit PCC if not already submitted.
3) submit passport...
u want to know that this letter is for Passport request or anything else?

Its a Passport request letter dear.

Submit the photocopy of receipt of landing fee if paid and mention in bracket that you have already paid.

Submit the photocopy of PCC and mention in bracket that you have already provided with the application.

Attach the original passport

Hahaha........How will u attach passports in E-mail? Have to send by post only

cic specifically mentiones if they need scanned copies of your passport and that usually applies for persons from visa exempt countries.
Since I assume you are from India you need to send your old and new passports as mentioned in the letter.

Guddi, this is a standard passport request letter. You cannot reply by email, so DO NOT reply by email. You must send them the original passport and any other passports by courier mail ONLY at the address they have given (bottom of the last sheet). Use BlueDart or any other registered courier service. Follow the instructions carefully: print out the sheet they have sent you and send it along with your passport(s).

It clearly says "PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS. Documents and passports must be submitted in a SINGLE package. Do not submit any documents and passports until you have prepared the entire package. Passports should be sent by any secured mail deliverers (hand delivery will not be accepted)."

Do we need to send return envelop for them to return our passport?

HI Everyone

I applied in Oct 2012..I haven't heard from cic yet and i submitted my passport in march 2013. I hope everything is ok..
I am very nervous...any ideas???

Alot of people from oct 2012 is getting there decision made this month...i didnt hear anything yet
??? ??? ??? Should I be worried??
