My partner got an interview letter for Jan 9 2014..No calls nothing..They just sent us a letter.. Im soo sooo happy ...We waited long enough..I am going there to support him definitely ...

I am Canadian permanent resident. I have been in Canada for a year now. I am currently studying. My husband works. I want to apply for US visa.
My question is should i go ahead and apply or wait?
I heard that embassy people reject you if you are not working. Is it true?
Is being in Canada for only a year is problem?
Please help.
