Plz tell...what is gcms notes and how to chk them ?

Dear Isha, GCMS (Global Computerized management System) is a file management system where CIC put there notes about the file of applicant. You can order your GCMS at https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do there is NO fee if you apply under privacy Act.

By the way what is your time line?

Privacy act is free but only for Canadian Citizen/PR, for sponsored person - its ATIP and cost $5

Hey have to tried going to MP or applying for GCMS notes? Heard that helps. Thinking of applying them, eh at you think ?

GCMS gives you a picture of the file and its working, MP can help with statues - neither can help with speeding anything up, it's a myth that MP can help in speeding things up - only if there is a screw up in the file, they can pass that info

Unfortunately Yes....If you have traveled in any of these Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Jordan, Laos, Lebanon, Libya, Myanmar, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Palestinian territories, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Vietnam, and Yemen countries. Your Visa can be delayed for background check process.

How do you get this information about delay of you have travel history in these countries. I have traveled to Iraq for work and my CAIPS notes days application reviewed since May 2012.
But no call for medicals yet. Is it because of travel history.

i applied under privacy act second time and i received the notes in 20 days ...lol i think they processed it regardless of my spouse's location.. i used exactly the same pdf i used for gcms

It's possible it skipped their system, but by rules its only for Citizen, PR. There was someone who did the same only to be told after 30 days that its the wrong form
Now, is it worth it to take a chance for $5

Finally, after 11 months of file reaching NDVO and 10 months after going in process.

i got my GCMS notes yesterday.
in which i have a note saying they find my relation geunuine ad natural and satisfactory..recommended waiver(additional document were submitted in may 2013- nikah pics and sponsor NOA and T4)
at one point it says eligibility -in procress and at the end it says recommend waiver. done at the end of june 2013
security -not started
criminality -not started
they havent touched my file since june 2013 after eligibility.
i think it may be because of strike.
but my PPC has already expired in dec 2012
i dont know what they are doing now

My status changed on August 15th because I've been checking everyday. Address still shows old address, no change in that yet.\

I hav a quick question to u all....my passport is wid NDVO since may and it is going to expire on 27 jan 2014....if I get my visa before that....can I travel on same passport or do I need a new one? As u all know we need 6 month valid pp to travel abroad..

Oopz just 5 mths left - visa thingie might take a mth more or so - depends on how things go -- better ask some immigration agent -- they may guide you better -- good luck

My medical expires end of September

It seems like some people have got visas recently who had their medicals expiring.
