Hi, just wondering if travel history can delay visa processing time and if yes then why and how ?? I am an December 2012 applicant . I have lived in England for the past 5 years and I have submitted PCC for that but still application stuck on application received. Passport received by Ndvo on the 3rd April.

Please HELP

I dont think so. It will not affect or delay the process. The primary reason of they collecting these information is to verify if you been travelling to some not so good countries which may be under watch by canadian govt. n if thts the case then it will certainly delay it. BTW i am august 2012 applicant

Good Luck

Wow, that's strange. From other forum members' experience, going to CHC-ND hasn't worked. They apparently don't entertain anyone regarding immigration case matters.

That email is also weird. It's a big thing that they responded to your email in the first place. They have not responded to emails or case specific enquiries for most of us. So it might be a good sign that they are doing something in your case. Is that a response to email or case specific enquiry? Has it been more than 10 months since your application was sent to NDVO? Given this info, I would wait a bit to see what they say.

I got my passport back from NDVO bcos of urgent travel need had an exam
In Canada
Most ofthe members suggested it won't work by going to NDVO But I took my chance

Thank for Info waiting since 2004. where did you find those list of countries ? How about south korea, Thailand countries. I am jan 2013 applicant haven't received PPR yet...
travel history and strike is delaying our applications.

South Korea and Thailand should not be a problem, and it is not only the list of countries that matters, how often you visit, and duration in each visit, and in between the visit that also matters, going one time to Egypt for vacation will not raise any alarm however going multiple time, very frequently without justifying a proper business or personal reasons, raises alarm.... and may delay file...

It is such a weird system. Since December 2012 they are doing criminality check and which is still in Progress even after six months. Yesterday I got a call from MP office that Background check is still in process in Canada. It is ridiculous; as per GCMS notes RCMP check is already been done and there was note **** NO TRACE FOUND ***** and as per notes updated on 15 march 2013 Medical Expires - Please Reissue. I don't know when they hack NDVO will ask to do re-medical again which I am sure will take another bloody two months if they ask me now...... even this MP office does not know when NDVO office will request for a re-medical???? :( :( :( :( :( :o :o :o :o :o :o on GCMS notes the due date was June 01,2013 which is also passed....every month I ordered GCMS and every time only Due date is changed and nothing else..........If a genuine person's security and criminality check taken that long..what they would do for actual criminals????? It is just a time killing and nothing with security and criminality check....... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

It is more than 14 months in total and more than 10 months since application was received by CHC-ND. I had sent an email but as usual an auto response came that they may reply in 28 days if they think so......What the hack they will do to check a case status in 28 days???? This is Fukking ever-go process and our relations is on the stack.....my PP is with them from last 9 months and I am like home arrest and can not travel out of country for my business. What the hell this CIC processs ..my foot...... How other people could get their PP with visa in few months only and who applied much later than us we few people like maplegal etc ...It is height of frustration......They (CIC) are purposely breaking the relations by this long process....How can one maintain relation from so so far??? >:( >:( >:( >:(
It is really painful situation. What is the reason they telling for process to such long time??you have crossed timelines already..

The steps to raise GCMS request are mentioned in the below link,

if you go for Online request ,go for online status while submitting the request and not physical file

Hey anurkk,

I totally agree with you on this. These guys are so lazy that nobody can understand them. They are taking our passport for such a long time that it makes our marriage at risk.

We cannot do anything to get any information rather than ask for GCM notes.

It is been so frustrated waiting time and worst no update at all. Just hang in there and try to go for MP as it will trigger a response soon.
