You may apply for Global Case Management System(GCMS) which are notes on your application or a file copy .Through this you can come to know status of your application.Over phone they dont tell application status.

Can you please update me how to apply for Global Case Management System(GCMS) ?

You can order GCMS notes from CIC's privacy division by filling out the form in the link below -

I have a feeling my wife's will be the same, as I have similar in process and address change dates as you. Oh well, the stamped passport is all that matters now.

Well, now it says Decision Made, so just waiting for the final step (passport with visa). I know it's most likely positive because of the address change, but am still holding out until we receive the passport in our hands.

The thing is that my E-cas has been showing DM since the last 3 weeks and it says the office will get in touch about the DM. So far there has been no further correspondence from the NDVO and no sign of the PP in the mail. The address on E-case hasn't changed either. :( Am a bit anxious as to what may be happening. ???

I would definitely try to contact them in any way you can (including by phone). Three weeks is a long time to wait after decision made, and they may answer your question over the phone given how unique your situation is. In your case, I would try contacting both NDVO and CIC Mississauga (they might have some info).

Just wondering, what are the exact steps that NDVO goes through.

When they request the passport so early, are they in parallel doing something else on the file in parallel. Or is it that they are keeping the passport on file for months and only when IN PROCESS status comes up do they actually start working on the file. Any ideas?

They are doing nothing and just hatching the eggs on files..... :P :P :P :P :P Once they put a due date on a file, which is normally 45-60 days gap and just doing nothing on file between those days except crying for a work load and backlog.. HUNH

Yeah they are holding passport for months for no reason >:( .This is the greatest concern :'( :'(

My wife actually lives in Kenya. We applied from New Delhi because of the lower times quoted for NDVO. That is ok, but she had to travel from Kenya to India and is now having to stay at relatives places as we await the return of the passport. It is one thing to be waiting in your home country for passport to be requested at the end of the process and it is another for them to get the passport so early and then just keep it for now 3 months.

Bad situation. My passport have been with them for 4 months and we have requested PP back for a short visit .No reply and action for that too

Has anyone heard of any case where the couple elopes? Thats my Case. My husband and I eloped. Will that be an issue? our Parents were against our marriage, so I went to india to marry my hubby, and did my application myself. But I made a very strong file. Is anyone else on the same boat as me? :(
