Hello All,
I am an Immigrant P.R,currently in Calgary. I landed last year & have applied for my new born son's sponsorship.
My son is only 5 months old now.
& My main question is How long will it take for Visa to be issued to him ( I did not meet my Wife since last 10 months & have not seen my new born son till date :'( :'( :'( IF it is going to take more time, I want to visit them once)
Will infants have to undergo Medicals ????

I am currently in Calgary & have worked in HR dept. of IT Firm in Toronto...

Sponsorship eligibility was confirmed & file transferred to New Delhi on April 16 2013
They sent a email stating the following
"You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent
Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing."

I am wondering why its taking very long for your application to be processed.. Was your file complicated? What is your scenario? Is it tooo many travel history? second marriage? Medical problem?

I had the same problem. I had blank pages but they weren't facing each other. So I had to get a new passport made. Making a new passport doesn't affect your application. You just have to email NDVO a case specific email and tell them your new PP number and submit all PPs together.

It's better to get a new PP than to have them send it back after months of sitting on it saying that they need to pages facing each other.

Many countries, US, UK, etc have a requirement that to place a visa sticker, you need two facing pages.

You may also get your MP to check this requirement for you.

I called the call center and they were absolutely useless.

Hi

One doubt to all the guys who have received their passport with VISA.
The Confirmation of Permanent Residence letter that comes with VISA, will it have the person's photo attached to it.. or it just a plain letter.

We'd done everything......the same stupid answers is that Background check is in Progress from last Dec 2012

Why the hack they never check background of a person when they gave them TRV?????

I had passed medical. eligibility, security, a long travel history and my criminality check is in progress according to GCMS notes MP said that Background check is going on. ;D

I wish to email NDVO enquiring why no PPR has been called yet in my case. Should i make a general enquiry in the email id that is given in cic website or i can do a case specific enquiry?

I am saving the mp enquiry for a later stage. @ sept 24 what is ur take in this??
