Hello All,

Need some opinions.....

...

Now, I'm getting impatient with less than a month left for the 10-month time frame to get over,

as i see, there are 3 options left:
1. Contacting the MP.
2. Contacting (Visiting) the Canadian Embassy - New Delhi in Person.
3. Ordering for the New GCMS notes again - 5$ (takes 30 days)

Now my husband is bit hesitant / not hopeful in contacting the MP, fearing it might cause more delay,
please let me know if its true.
also if there are any other options other than waiting,
I'm not sure, if they would stamp the visa in 20 days (from today) or have already done it or in process of doing it.

I seriously want to get a solution to this, had enough of waiting.
Does sponsoring more than 1 member of the family, at same instances, might be the reason for delay?
or it is a reasonable time frame for normal applications.

Replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot and Best Wishes to All.

Hi ragi,

I would say do not hesitate to contact your MP - it should not delay the case. In my experience, NDVO is much faster and open to responding to an inquiry from an MP than one from the applicant or consultant. In my case, they replied to MP inquiry the very next day. You should approach your MP - you are in their constituency, it is part of their job to help you out in such times of need. Most MPs have someone on their staff dedicated to immigration issues.

I don't know anything about visiting the CHC in New Delhi, but I don't believe it will help. I haven't heard of anyone who has been able to walk in there and discuss their file/case. You can try it, and let us know if it worked - we would definitely be interested.

Re-ordering GCMS notes - hey, it definitely can't hurt. Order it again - it only costs $5, and if you still don't have any response from NVDO for another month, atleast this way you will have some way of knowing whether there has been any movement on your case.

Congratulation brar.arsh, muksi, fatima, hm82 for your visas!!! must be a big-time relief feeling,,,can't wait to feel the same.
Anyone else who got their visa and I missed, congratulations!!

Question:
We applied through a consultant, I am sponsoring my husband in India.
Before when we signed in through his File no. It used to show consultant's mailing address and now it changed to his Indian address?

Anyone experienced this before? Just want to know if this means "a step forward"

I check cic and this forum more than I ever checked even facebook before!! it's almost may... hoping for some good news for myself and people over here !!!

What's your timeline?

Yes it might be a positive sign. This happened to me couple of weeks before my DM. This also happened to another member and for that member it went to DM in couple of days. So very soon you will get your DM! All the best.
