I have been reading many new member's timeline and as well as looked at the xls file that you are maintaining, NOW I am seriously worried because of one point : almost all of the cases have passport request recevied sooner or later but in my case its been almost more than 5 months since my file reached delhi office and no passport request, dont know what to make out of this and SECOND question is , do you have any idea as to what happens if I have lost passport request email in spam folder (may be) , will i get a second note from NDVO or how do they process in such cases? any idea? any thoughts?

Hello v_sys, I think you should be concerned.

Did you ever put request for GCMS notes? The notes might be able to clear things up on your case.

I am sure NDVO sends out PPR within 2-3 months of Sponsorship Approval. PPR is anyways not a sign that your application is moving faster or slow or whether your processing has started or not, as its not any promise of awarding a positive decision. NDVO like to keep the Passport on file, so they request for it the moment they start processing app. There have been cases that file was sitting in NDVO and an appeal through MP helped move things. Please read this thread for such cases and contact the users who went through similar experience.

yes I already approached MP for the status followup and also going to put up a request for GCMS note by next week, and to your point, my concern was that only... having passport req does not stand for approval or denial but it atleast means that your file is been looked at once.., in my case there is absolutely no reply whatsoever...

That's concerning.. My wife's file was transferred on oct 15 as well but she got an email for PPR on nov 5.. Did ur wife not get any email ? Ask her to check the mailbox since during October they were asking for pp within a months time and recently they changed it to later in the process

We have been checking the email regularly and went back and forth many times on the old emails, however there was one mistake on our part, we did not check the spam folder for first two three months, and if it was delivered in spam folder then there are chances we may have lost it as spam get cleared every now and then on its own.... I do not know what NDVO does in cases of applicant do not respond to PPR.. (if in case we missed it) and also why its been five months and no letter or no reply to our case specific queries we made online....

Hearing from your MP and GCMS notes are your best options. Also even if you miss PPR they will ask you again towards end of the process. This has happened before for one or two members. But its always best to check and find out whats going on. All the best!

I have been reading this forum for 4 months now and finally decided to join and share my wife's timeline. I can not stress how helpful this forum has been for the last five and half months through the helpless days. It truly has been a grueling grind so far, hopefully soon to be over for all of us. Muksi if you like you can add this to the spreadsheet.

Medical Done: Oct 31, 2012
Application Sent to CIC: Nov 16, 2012
Application Received at CIC: Nov 20, 2012
Date of Sponsorship Approved: Feb 12, 2013
Date of File Transferred to New Delhi: Feb 12, 2013
Passport requested- Mar 9, 2013

you have a far better idea than me about other members and the trend ans since you are also maintaining xls file, do you think mine is a very odd case or you have observed similar cases where there is no PPR for almost five months (after reaching the file to NDVO),, just want to know if it has happened with others earlier.... i guess its a silly way of having my self calm down but there is no other way for me at this moment..

There are two other members who applied in July and August waiting for their PPR (H4B, IndCan). Each case is different, so we wont know for what reason they have not asked for PPR unless you hear from MP or GCMS. We can only hope and wait.

yes you are right, there is no way for us to know ... i will keep posting once i have something from MP query or GCMS...
