Hey sallyander,

Processing times are difficult to predict. They vary depending on the type of application you submit and the number of applications currently being processed.
In many cases, a file is waiting in a queue for initial review by a visa officer. CIC calculates processing times from the day NDVO receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application. Applications are processed in the order in which they arrive. Some take longer to process than others. There is no maximum time frame for reviewing an application as each case is different so if your's is straight forward case then with in 6 months you will get visa hopefully.

Dear Scorpio King,

First of all MANY MANY CONGRATULATION !!!! My prayers with you.

For me I have another question. Under My UCI no online I see It says'' We received ur application fpr PR on Dec 10th 2012." The question should I count my days from this date or the Date when PPR was sent to me? Please reply.

Thanks and Regards,

ASC

@sallyander

Sorry for the late reply and thanks a lot and best regards for you too, :)
CIC completes their assessment in 2 stages, 1st is sponsor and the 2nd is applicant, when the sponsor's assessment is completed then his/hers eligibility is passed and declared by Decision made after which the application is forwarded to visa office of applicant's country therefore your application comes into effect when it reaches NDVO and continues to meet their commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners, and children and for individual cases, actual processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the application they have submitted.

ok, Thanks, which means the letter which went to my husband for informing his DM was on 15.01 2012. which also stated tht his wives file has been sent to CIC abroad. Means My file reached NDVO on 15t jan. So my days starts fro 15th Jan2012. Right ???
