Your case is different than ours here. Its a matter of passport. Its an important document. You need to know whether the hold up is at NDVO or the postal process. So its worth a try, I cannot say if it will work or not. Take all the communications you have made to NDVO regarding this delay and also your ecas print out.

Also I do not know if you have contacted your MP with regards to this.

The passport is mailed at the address which is "your current mailing address" as shown in ecas. I hope its the same address where you are checking for the passport mail.

Well..the visa..if you type in on google "canada immigrant visa"..and click on the images..thats exactly how the visa looks like. Theres a letter with the visa information and confirmation of PR..2 such docs..thats all.
