samen,

we have the same timeline, but you got a PPR a few weeks before me. I suggest you also get your MP to check on your application.

No. But we have ordered the GCMS notes. My application has been in process since October 4th. If GCMS notes don't give any info, we'll contact the MP.

When did you send your PP?

on 30th of august

Usually GCMS notes give more detailed info than MP. But gcms notes are old. They date up to when the gcms application was received by them. So if you receive today and you requested 30 days back, the info will be 30 days old. MP may give you more recent info though...

I know...Wats the point in making a person pick up the phone if they are not going to give any information.

Ha ha ha ha ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D It is an Indian mentality. The lady is Indian who answered Phone call (Unfortunately) and above that she is earning Rs. 1,13,000 (minimum) for a month for being rude. I am sorry if someone hurt with my wording but if you will go to Canada you will find How people (even Indian) are helping and polite even in CIC. :P :P :P

Hey samen, you need to be in Canada to apply or your sponsor can order GCMS notes for you. there are 2 forms you need to download, you need to sign one consent form authorizing your spouse to get information about your case from CIC.

Order your GCMS notes and find what is done on your file or ask your sponsor to contact his/her MP and you will get news in a week time. Don't delay much.

Good Luck ;)

This is a good piece of statistic published by cic. Sharing for information.

@mumble: Thanks buddy, this is some info on how things are progressing. Going through it now and trying to gauge our timelines!

@mumble - If you look at the second sheet (PR post by Yr), row 29 (Last 12 months), 50% of the cases were issued a visa in 10 months. That's how they calculated the average waiting time for ND office i.e. 10 months, also mentioned on the cic website.
