Guys we just got a reply from MP and he indicated that our application is in initial review and we need to call back second week of jan.

Hey mumble!

It's great that you got a reply from the MP, now you know that there's movement in your file at least. And now you have a date to aim for. So stay strong! It's almost done.

Hello All,

Here is my Timeline:
Visa office: New Delhi
Medical done 9/12/12
Application received by CIC 9/21/12
Sponsorship approval 10/24/12
Passport requested 11/21/12

Here are my two questions:

1) Has anyone received PR approval or anything ahead with the similar timeline?

2) I'm residing in Canada since 5th Aug on visitor's visa and intending to apply for an extension of visitor's visa in the first week of Jan. Does anybody know if I still have to wait for another 90 days (once my PR is approved) to apply for SIN? OR can I directly, apply for SIN once PR is approved?

Thank you in advance!

Dear maplegirl try to understand the sentence properly that file is under initial reviews not final reviews, may be there is a mistake from VO who email to MP query about the file because once the file is In-process then its will be the final stage. confused about the reply from MP query.

Initial Review ----> Interview (If not waived) ---> In Process ..

Atleast thats what i always thought...

Every thing is going well in your case except your extension of visitor's visa because if you exceed more than 6 months and is admissible to stay by extending your visa then its fine but make sure if you have 10 years multiple entry visa then I don't think you get extension on TRV if you get it by chance then I guess you must get PCC from Canada and also the reason for your visa extension.

Scorpionking is right. So sorry I misread that.

I always thought what Thinkpad has said above.

But you never know, it may just move fast from this point on. You've come this far, and it's not easy to do so but be positive. You will get the visa! And then you can be in Canada forever.

I guess some times due to error they may send these type of emails but I hope mumble will get her visa as soon as possible and interview is definitely waived off because she is In-process since September 26th.
