hey everyone, first of all congrats to all the people who got the DM's!!

Secondly, Emirates and Qatar Airways are the two airlines flying from india-dubai-toronto and india-doha-toronto respectively. Anyone travelling to other cities, can use westjet airlines (cheapest one in Canada)

I have always preferred Emirates, but right now as it's the peak season going on, you won't find any good deal with Emirates, but you might with Qatar on their website.

Just make sure that you don't have a stop in U.S, if you do then you wil be required to have a transit visa, which is a hassle.

Hope this helps.

Qatar Airways route is from india-doha-montreal, sorry made a typo.

You can try to look for cheap tickets at webjet.ca also.... You might get some good deal.... Give it a tryy...

Flights over Pacific from New Delhi- Vancouver are more cheaper. It's japan airlines, lufthansa, air china etc. You can check it on make my trip website or yatra.

Hope it helps.

One more Friday! Hope all the people get DM's!!!

My thought..try not to take airlines which route through US..coz then you would need to take all your luggage out in US..get security check again before boarding plane to canada..Not a big deal though....but I thought to share my thought...since first time immigrants usually get lots of stuff..like I did 4 suitcases when I came to canada first :P

Guys I was checking tickets for my wife and was told by someone that she might need a TRANSIT Visa for UK as we are thinking of this route....

BOM - LHR - YVR.............Please advise if someone knows if it's needed or not for sure ?

Thank you...!!

Also...any suggestions for Mumbai to Vancouver for cheap flights etc....Please share....Thanks again.

I think u should check with the airline/travel agent...i was looking at British airways as an option until i heard about something called an airside transit visa. like if u take a connecting flight on British through same terminal...then thats k, u dont need visa....but if last minute terminal changes then u r stuck. but any how pls confirm..

Yes, Thank you for your reply.

I too went on UKBA's website and came across something called air side transit visa. Travel Agent not sure if we need this Visa, but someone said if the stay at the airport is less than 12 hours, then we don't need transit visa.

Also, all BA flights will come and go from T5 @ Heathrow, so I guess no need for a transit Visa.

But if someone has similar situation and had any problem without transit visa, please share.

Thanks !!
