children takes priority within the family class. These applications are not subject to
numerical limits in the Immigration Levels Plan." (aren't they contradicting themselves.)

I believe that of all the family class programs/categories such as nominee program and other members of family class- spouse & children are on Top Priority without any limits.

Some MPs don't even entertain our queries to check status (before total max. time as shown on cic.gc.ca) but some do. So, it means there can/may be miscommunication of the information shared.
And this report is from the Government only sepcifically on Immigration matter.

And I am sure, you will be in Canada before 31st Dec anytime from now...

That's really nice and kind of you to say so, but I really wish all applicants who are waiting get to hear good soon. And my husband is again visiting today MP's office. Let see what comes out of it

I am telling you again there are no quota for spouse visa. Its our human rights to be with our spouse and there are no numbers dictates this case. Last year around this time it was slow too but picked up DMs after US thanksgiving week. Next 10 days some of us going to get good news. chill relax.

Our case lagged due to the fact my wife is a central gov employee therefore it took 4 months to get background check done after the initial interview. after the BC done her medicals expired and that's what was our delay. I know those NDVOs are all F***up

Were you already informed about the long background check or its just something you believe?

I'm a little curious, when is everybodys medicals expiring? Im kinda hopeful that they will issue us the visa before the expiry.
