We are all really happy if there is NO quota for spouse Visa. A light other side the tunnel visible again. ;)

Good Luck to all of them who are waiting.

I am telling you again there are no quota for spouse visa. Its our human rights to be with our spouse and there are no numbers dictates this case. Last year around this time it was slow too but picked up DMs after US thanksgiving week. Next 10 days some of us going to get good news. chill relax.

Our case lagged due to the fact my wife is a central gov employee therefore it took 4 months to get background check done after the initial interview. after the BC done her medicals expired and that's what was our delay. I know those NDVOs are all F***up

It gave me a bit relief now. ;) Just curious, when she done her medical again after its expiry? Does her case still "In Process"?

Good Luck

Hi, actually there are allocations or targets set for each immigration category. Take a look at the numbers for 2012:

http://www.canadavisa.com/citizenship-and-immigration-canada-announces-new-immigration-targets.html

For spouses and partners, the target is 44,620 visas to be issued in 2012 (37500 overseas and 7120 inland). The actual number issued could end up higher, as has happened in the past. Visa issuance slows down as we get toward the end of the year because the visa offices want to ensure they don't exceed their overall allocations.

Hey Friends!

Looks like we will not get any good news this year.

Our MP's office told us today that NDVO replied to our inquiry saying that our case will be finalised in the new year.
I cant recall the exact words but they had to say something on the lines of quota for the year and that they are done with it.
It said that the medical is good through may 2013 and that they will finalize the case in new year.

So our fears have come true... i hope this is not true for all and others will get the visas this year.

Good Luck to all
:(

As much as I dont beleive that there is a quote on family immi...I am also thinking what if your MP actually ACCIDENTLY gave you the 'inside information'...

They have been quiet for a month now, and it may be true that they will continue to be like this for another month !
