I kindly request to all my friends in this forum to share their views regarding the following questions mentioned below;-

# Will it be better if we contact our area MP in such a case were the movements of our application process are slow in NDVO?
# Will it be beneficial to contact a area MP?
# Can we obtain any information regarding our filed applications through MP?
# Will NDVO entertains MP's request?

MP Query - its my personal experience so it differs from case to case

1 I personally believe, if you contact NDVO too much it might delay process. But you case is delayed then it is advisable to contact but should check the processing time limit
2 you can contact any MP. I dont think so it would make any difference
3 do not expect much detailed information, yea we may get useful information
4 yea they do.

Its my personal experience with MP case. As you know every case is different so i would appreciate if other forum member also discuss their views

Hello Jenny Chen
We both have almost same time lines
Have you contacted MP?

R u a sponser or your husband?

Hello p.india26,
I am the applicant, my husband is the sponser.
We have NOT YET contacted our MP.
We have ordered our gcms notes on 20 Oct 2012 - and we are still waiting to see what information is on them.
We have decided only to contact our MP on or after 20 Dec 2012 - cuase by then we will have completed the 9 months time limit for our application.
You mentioned that we have almost similar time lines -
whats the status on yr application? In process? Have u got yr gcms notes or contact yr MP?

From the different posts I have seen here on this forum -
1. it is advisable to contact only your own area MP - which can be found on MP website by entering your sponser's canadian zip code.
2. Case by case basis - and also it depends on how helpful a MP maybe - usually one can get pretty useful information. For example - there was this one case here on this forum - where the applicant has sent in the passport and additional documents requested and for 2 motnhs no news - when the MP contact NDVO - VO claimed that they did not received any additional documents ..!!
Another example - if i recall correctly - it was another fellow March applicant - who went to MP - and MP said to come back in end Nov to Dec since we are still within the processing time limit.

So it basically differes from case to case and MP to MP - how helpful they wanna be.!!

Hope this helps.

Yea its been more than 2 months and its showing in process and timeline is almost same you.
I have contacted MP and i dont know how to order GCMS notes.

Hello Fadil,

Regrading your response to jun479 about the second passport request?

"What do you mean by second passport request? Did you not send the passport when you got your first passport request?"

Oh man...everyday I read something new in here. Makes me more tensed.

Thanks

Hi falcon123,

Don't worry. We are waiting for our second passport request. I have not submitted it initiatlly, as I m out of country. So I requested NDVO for second passport request in the final review stage.

So, you don't worry. You can send the passport right away to the address mentioned.

Wish you all the best.

Received an attachment from New Delhi VO (file name is "AOR First Name Last Name") which requests me to submit passport, landing fee (if not already submitted) and police clearance certificates (if not already submitted).

Is this what you say a PPR?

Edit: It's interesting to note that the the date on the letter is November 10, 2012. Do they work on Saturdays too?

Congrats!! u r one step ahead in the process. i am eagerly waiting for mine. As far as i observed they generally take 2-3 weeks from file transfer to make the PPR.

Hey to all Guys and Girls in this forum, please spend your precious time for this matter below and relief me from this conclusion:-

Hey scorpionking, here are some of the answers to yr queries - heop they help you.

1. GCMS notes are computer and / or hand written notes on yr case file - they have detailed information on yr application and the observation / back ground check details made by the visa officer.
2. follow this link for detail step by step on how to order the notes: -
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-t123182.0.html
3. people on this forum are ordering the notes when their application is taking more than the necessary amount of time required; they also order the notes when they are called in for an interview - as the reason and / or doubts the VO may / may not have are mentioned in the notes - so that way the applicants are better prepared.

hope this was helpful to you.
