I knew it that we won't be hearing anything from ND today, but I strongly wanted that I would have been proved wrong by them but naaaaaaahhhhh ND didn't disappoint me and as usual no words from them. What the hell they are doing with simple cases and making us wait for almost 200 days or even more than that. I have heard that it takes 180 days but we are the unluckiest applicants. My eyes could not believe it when I saw gr_mehrotra got visa in 115 days. I was like :'( .

Hi everyone.

Can anyone please tell me, how long do New Delhi take time to reply when we send some additional documents?

I had sent additional documents on 27th Oct 2012 and it reached ND visa office on 29th Oct 2012.

The ND Visa office given me 30 days to reply. The letter was received by the ND visa office on the 30th day. (29th Oct 2012)

I was also asked for docs and was given one month time for submission and within that timeframe there was change in my status, ie. from app rcvd to in process.

Yes I'm pretty sure you are.

As per my knowledge you are going to receive your landed stamp in your passport when you go through customs. With that you will be able to apply for health card and a social insurance card. Social insurance card is for job purposes.

you need to apply for SIN card which is social insurance in order to work in canada. it doesnt cost anything to apply and you will receive the number same day

Not sure where to start this. We sent our passport a few days after the ND requested it. We have proof it was delivered. Now they mailed us to send passport again... Not sure even where to begin... We can mail them the proof etc, but that won't solve the issue if it is lost... Any advice? Last thing we would want to do is go through the passport re-apply..

Mail the proof that u send it already , also send a snail mail stating all the things properly in cover letter n along with proof.

You can apply for the SIN next day you land in Canada as PR.....

If you sent it only few days ago, it might be possible that they have not placed the passport in your file just yet. So, they could think they have not received it yet, even though it's in their office waiting to be placed.
