Thinkpad- Yea maybe. I have 12 yr travel history. I'm also a resident of two other countries. Though don't understand how difficult are background checks after they have all the PCCs. Lets just wait and watch. To be honest..I wasn't even expecting to get 'in process' just like that. But since then Ive only gotten all the mire anxious. I intend to fly early next year but the wait is getting to me and more than that its the anxiety that I can't deal with anymore. I do not wish to have this constant tension of whats gonna happen day in day out.:-(

Technically speaking, we have already submitted our background checks with our applications :) ( pcc )

Madhurimahesh- whats your timeline?

Thinkpad- Exactly..can't seem to understand how complicated is this for them. Well..I could go on forever. Anyhow I'm a lil hopeful too after the in process. Could take a lil longer but will have our visas soon inshaAllah

Sorry guys bt dis is all luck I wud say....coz one of ma frnd's wife got visa in 4months ...he applied for her in end of june and she already landed in toronto 10days ago...so sharp 4mnths...

Cool...Thats why I said 'may have a slight edge' cos when I think about it, It does mean 'less things to look at'...dont you agree ?

Thinkpad ......

No i don't .....coz it's taking more time than others who can't have a newer passport or less travel history ...........:(

Hmmm. Whatever it is will still be waiting till we get our visas. So, no point thinking too much. I did come across applicants with the most straightforward of cases who are still waiting and the complicated cases getting through with incredible ease AND viceversa so lets stop rattling our brains and get back to waiting:-)

Yes, I agree with you. 5 months is huge time. I don't even think its legal to hold a passport for that long. Is there any reason why the MP has not been able to provide any answers? Did you write to the delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca regarding your situation?

Nothing still. I just started a new job two weeks ago and have not had time to come onto the forum.

I am going again to my MP this monday, as whenever I call I am told to call later and she isn't there to help me, and the same when I go in person. So I will keep callling them today and tomorrow and tell them I will just sit in the office for all of monday until they can help me. This isn't fair.

I am going to send an inquiry right now. I've had some people tell me that contacting them too early can delay your application, so I didn't want that to happen. But you're right, 5 months now is too long.

Is there anything else I can do?

Congrats on the in process status, and when did it go in process? I mean, the date it shows when you click on that "in process", I think it starts like "we started to process... on..."

Short story with Longggggggggg Waitttttt......

Filled up Application Form (Attached All Documents + All Proofs) ------> Application Sent ---WAIT---> Got Sponsorship Approval ---WAIT---> Got PPR ---WAIT---> Got In Process ---WAIT---> ?? ?? ??

And Waittttttt Continuesss........

Hey everyone

so i really like this new thing about mentioning your province thing now...

well i geuss my husband will be the only one who is coming to Quebec

... just a quick note we actually have an additional process we need to go through right after step one approval about a selection certificate here in the province of Quebec....

i dont know maybe thats why Quebec takes longer???

ive completed all the steps and they've had our passport for 3 months now and still nothing

I cant get wht happened to NDVO....Apps are stuck up like anything...
