Does new delhi update status on saturdays
My application says in process since 3rd september
Dont know how much more time its gona take for decion made

Any idea

For those that are flying out the coming week, do you recommend any particular flights from Delhi/ or travel agents in Jalandhar? The ones my husband is looking at are all quite expensive, as much as a return ticket would cost. There are a few less expensive ones the week after (from sept 20th), but don't want him to wait another week.

My brother-in-law is travel consultant, I can PM you his details if you want. I am sure he can get you the best possible rates!

Hi,

Congrats for those who have already got their DM.

My Ecas says, 'In Process' changed on 3rd Sept 2012 and started processing application on August 31, 2012.

I have 4 years of travel history. Can anyone please tell me how long does it take for DM?

Cheers !

Yeah, While very happy to see april applicants gets DM, there are March/Feb waiting too. But dont lose hope, weekend is not out yet! Your case appears to be similar to the ones that go direct to DM from AR. ECAS can be unpredictable. If you have travel history, may take a week or two longer thats all. My wife had no travel history at all. So security and background checks may have happened sooner.

Good luck and keep posted. Tomorrow/Day after might be your day! knock on wood.

Its not about the rates...the availability is Crap....cuz of the Air India strike until OCT 27 all the flights are flying full, especially Jet Airways...try something after SEP 20th and also ask your spouse down in canada to find out the rates, sometimes its better to book ticket from canada then from india...

hello sumit,

I have seen your post and its looks like you have changed your spouse address. So my question is, I also wanted to change my wife's address bz she is moving so if i change address then what do you think> they not gonna make mistake to send her passport back to old address, right

when you change address? was they showing new address on ecas? did you wife get her passport at new address or old address?\

thanks

I live in Canada, I checked online and with my travel agent that I normally book through, same thing.. flights are expensive until after 23rd. Seems like there is always a hurdle to cross, every step of this process! But you're right, didn't even think about confirming availability.

Talking of lfights, there's one thing hubby & I noticed - if we book tickets say 1-2 months in advance, the rates are compartively good even for one way tickets. But if we book short notice tickets say 1-2 weeks - the rates are exhorbatant.! Its crazy.! Wish my DM comes soon..!!
