I had my interview on June 13 2012 and that's when the VO handed back my passport and asked me to redo my meds/Police certificate and send everything back as a package together with my passport. I sent the required docs with my passport on July 7. It's been over a month and don't understand what's taking them so long ? The interview lasted for about 3 mins and the VO told me that it's a pretty straight forward case. Usually they say it takes 2 or 3 weeks max for stamping the passport. The anticipation is killing me. My husband and I have not seen eachother for a year now !!

can someone please please clarify! Thanks.

Hey everyone. I wanted to get some suggestions regarding the passport request process from new delhi. My sponsor and I are living in saudi arabia. We selected new delhi as our vo. Since new delhi asks for passport early in the process, and we are residing outside india, its difficult to send the passport right away. Saudi rules do not allow us to keep the passport with us. We heard we can ask new delhi to give us a second passport request when our application has been completely reviewed and decision made. Is this right? And any other ideas as to what to do about this?
Also, another question is what do they generally ask in interviews? And is the interview requested for both sponsor and applicant?
yes after getting PPR, you can ask new delhi to request your passport at the end of process.
in interview they can ask you anything about your relationship and your spouse. in case they schedule interview, they will mention clearly that" if sponsor is in india, he or she must accompany the applicant in the interview and if sponsor is outside India, s/he must be ready for a phone interview at given time "
hope it helps

I am also explaining that only. Its not possible that gujarati people get easy visa compare to others, they have to pass through same process like all of us. CHC will not favour anyone group unless their paper work is very strong and its not possible that all gujarati people have strong paper work but yeh its possible of less/nil fraud may be there as per CIC's record so they got less scrutiny. I am just putting my thoughts.

Arey me bolta hu ke gujarati ko mile, ya punjabi ko mile ya chahe mile marathi ko. Visa mile to sahi.........

Yaha to DM milta hi nahi kisiko uska kya.

Ya, i can agree to the point that may be they have less fraud cases record!
