Hi everyone i am about to submit the application this week for spousal sponsorship and the application is first going to Mississauga and then to New Delhi. I was told from my lawyer it will take 86 days for Mississauga to send the file to New Delhi. Does anyone tell me how long it took for their application to reach New Delhi from Mississauga and then how long after the spouse came to Canada?

Much appreciate it!

As of now according to CIC Website it takes 86 days for Assessment of sponsor when sponsorship is approved then they transfer file to local Visa office. These two steps are consecutive. then is takes time for applicant assessment which depends on local visa office processing time.
for more info go through CIC website, Application processing times.

Did your spouse visit you in india after applying to cic?

Received email from New Delhi office on Aug 17 asking to submit a few more documents:
1. Sponsors' full passport (even the blank pages) even though relevant pages of the passport have already been submitted.
2. Any photographs and visits after submitting the application.
3. And a few more documents that I believe have already been submitted with my application.
It appears that they are purposely trying to delay the PR.

Can they request for documents even after submitting the passport ?

chk the spreadsheet
