I got married in Feb 2012 and stayed with my wife for 1.5 month and came back to Canada in April 2012 and i am working in Canada now. I am planning to visit India for 5-6 months once i get the approval from Ontario Office. Please provide your thoughts. Is it good or bad for my application if i go to India in Oct 2012.
if you are a PR, you are not allowed to reside out of Canada during process except short trips. if you are a Canadian citizen, you can stay wherever you want but you need to provide proofs for your return to Canada after your wife gets her PR.

Hi,

I applied for PR on Jan 07 2012,
Application recvd by CIC M on Jan 11 2012
Sponsorship approved on Mar 23 2012
Started processing in ND on 5 June 2012
PPR on July 22 2012

I have sent my PP via Blue dart to New Delhi on July 24 2012,
My question is , My Lawyer in Canada had asked me to enclose a Self addressed, Prepaid airway bill along with the passport so that it would be easy for me to track the passport once they send it back. Since Blue dart is the only authorized courier company to handle passport i sent my pp thru them and asked for the above mentioned service , however they dont have that service and it turns out that no courier company has that service in India. So could of you guys tell me if anybody has used such a service in India and also does ND update the ECAS when they receive the passport and send it back or should be just wait blindly for the postman/the courier guy......

Thank you in advance for your help...

lif you are a canadian citizen it should not be a problem....but if you are a PR then you can go for a short vacation upto 3-4 weeks.....I would not complicate my case if I am a PR.

Hey Guys,
All in the same boat waiting for some positive news from New Delhi. I have got a letter conforming that my file has been transferred to New Delhi. How much time will they take to ask for passport and after they receive the Passport what is the wait one has to look at.....is there anything else we have to do while the process in New Delhi is going on, in terms of documentation?

Please let me know ...I am new the the forum culture....your reply will be well appreciated:)

Its a TRUST game my friend, Blue dart has been handling this PP request from day 1 so dnt wrry, avoid regular mail.

NDVO does not update status on ECAS when they receive your PP, receiving PP doesnt mean that they start working on your file right away.

i wish you luck bud.

Sumit

Madhuimahesh--- Welcome

Once the file is with ND VO they usually request the applicant to send the PP withing 2to4 weeks ...

As long as your case is Strait-forward, all the documents are in there to make the VISA OFFICER life easy, you should expect an approval within the first two months of sending your PP.

i wish you luck my friend.

Sumit.

I am aware that it would take some time, but looking at some of the posts here i am worried now ,since they have kept the passport for more than six months for some members and some guys got their visas stamped in like 3 months, May be its just luck we can just wait and watch....

Thnks sumit....
