Okay so folks ND have started moving forward I think...

We got DM today! They started working on our application on July 20th!!!!

It went straight from Application Rcvd -> DM!

Good luck to everyone

The last we heard from CIC was June 1 asking us to submit the Passport.. Since then till today we did not hear anything! and now its showing as DM on ECAS.

Our case was very simple, first marriage, everybody attended, no travel history, accurate forms, no age diff etc..we provided ample proofs for the relationship... and everything was documented in order with the checklist!

I will update as soon as we get the passport
hi lalatata
congrats! have a great life ahead ,,,,,,,,yeah i have seen most of straight forward cases got their visas in 1 month/ 40 days/ 45 days ,,anyways good luck

congrats once again

To Lalatata,

good luck ,,,,,, anyways let me know why they took so much time for ur case? was there any complication or wht else

once again congrats and thanks

Hi thank u! I think my timeline wasnt too long. It started in December and the whole process from Canada to India to approval took 7 months. As for my case my husband lived in Canada for 8 years and we got married here too. He was on work permit which expired in January this year. No travel history really except one trip to India. But we were not interviewed or anything just straight DM so I think it was straight forward cz we gave them a lot of evidence of our 4 years of courtship. Good luck to you!!

Thank you everyone else for ur wishes. Will keep u updated when my husband receives the passport. Waiting eagerly. Good luck to all!

Hi guys, my ecas changed to decision made before receiving the passport request. When I am clicking on DM, it says regarding the decision we have sent u a letter by post on 11th july, 2012. I haven't received any letter. But I have received the email from the Ottawa CPC which says Sponsor approved and application has been sent to ND for further processing. In addition, if you have received this email no more post will be sent.

Ecas details: Sponsorship application status: Decision made
Permanent Resident application status: Application received

I am still confused. Is anyone here pls confirm whose ecas is showing decision made but passport not requested yet.

Many thx.

COuld be they might ask you to send your passport..

Canadian enquiry - so u login with sponsor detail or aplicant details.

If with sponsor details - you will see dm beneath sponsor. Means your file has been approved by missisagua and pr shows application recieved. This pr status should change from app rec to in process to dm. This is where nd process is highligted

hi shruti
thats a good news that your ecas is "in process". you should contact your MP in Canada and ask them to get status of your application.
ND doesnt reply to email inquiries for less than 1 month old :o you can expect reply after 30 days.
good luck for your DM :)

Congratulations everyone for your sponsorship approvals and recent DMs! :)

PLEASE HELP THANKS IN ADVANCE - VERY IMPORTANT!!! :o :o :o :-\ :-\

While everyone else is so happy, on our GCMS notes, they stated that they could not not move ahead with our case for 3 reasons: no biodata on back of card, forgot to put ND as visa office in medical form, and "Sponsor: Canadian citizen residing in England (according to one of the forms, she was supposed to resume residency on March 30, 2012." :o :o :-\ :-\

what does this mean ? biodata on back of card ...what card are they talking about ?

I think what he meant was no bio data - name and dob on the back of photographs provided. Not all VO require this. But I guess his Visa Officer preferred things a certain way.

i dont know really what does that mean but they wrote in notes "no bio data on back of photo-id"
i think they are talking about " national identity document"- generic application form- page 2 for applicant

manorite, Does your spouse has travel history? My wife has, Is this the reason for late PPR? any idea.

Hi Aussiankk....

No my wife doesn't have any travel history..... its a straight forward case....I am not sure what is the delay for the PPR..?

What did you use as your National Identity Document? If it's a Passport, they need to see the first and last pages (since they contain all information). If you have a Citizenship card etc. then you need to provide a copy that shows both front and back. As the back side contains bio data such as eye colour, height, etc.

That's my understanding. I may be wrong.

Hi anybody have idea about this??

The UK PCC was issued on 7 March and I sent them this on 26 June after getting my file number. Now, I read somewhere that CIC donot accept PCC older than 3 months? is that true? Is yes, will it affect the PPR? as I received file number on 26 June, however no PPR yet.

hi
i used my driving licence as National Identity Document. and yes it has only address and contact numbers on the back, no eye color, height or anything else.
i will show them original in the interview :)
