what is IME?

Tried calling up the panel Physician to get the information as to how long do they take to send the re -assessment results ..

But they said that they can't share these information ... >

i had just sent them a mail saying about my medical expiring very soon . with my file number n my details that's it .

For which i received a reply .

I just read in the last post that they have stopped giving extension from November ...

Meaning that one has to go for re medicals ?

In my case.. i have made several attempts to contacts them about the redo the medicals, few members over here have received a passport to redo the medicals, my case it is very complicated they even don't bother to reply email ... i mean there is no movement .. atleast need some progress in my file.. its all confusion.. they do not reply me the proper way..

I have just noticed that my IME is older than 15 months and in my ecas it indicates that medical result have been received.. that is all confusion

Wooopppiieeee...finally got my stamped passport..... ....received it via registered post.

The ECAS is still down though......my last status on ECAS was Application Received...means it went directly to Decision Made...

Aug and Sept 12 Applicants might receive some good news this weeeeek.... 8) 8) 8)

I think so, because few members around here received a passport to redo the medicals,

but this is what i believe for the reassessment

Review the medical file to determine if there is sufficiently relevant and up to date medical information to provide a new opinion of admissibility on health grounds;
Request additional medical information if a new opinion based upon the existing information in the medical file is not possible;
Assess the medical file including any new additional medical information as needed;
Provide a new opinion of admissibility or inadmissibility on health grounds;
Enter the new ‘M’ profile in the CIC electronic platform (such as GCMS or FOSS);
Send an e-mail to the officer who requested the reassessment to confirm that the process has been completed.
