But when I opened that Decision Made link, it says, we received ur application, started processing on that date, medicals have been receieved and
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

Is that usual thing, or they request for any further documentation...???

brrr..I can understand how you feel. Or may be not. Well, I guess your in laws must be feeling bad about this too. Don't worry they dont harass genuine cases. Take all proofs dats all. It shall be fine.

Yes they felt bad at that time. But we were helpless too. We tried to convince them for seven months. And its not like that they didn't like me ,they did like my profile very much. It was just my mother in law who had issue with caste. Anyways now they are fine. Even my father in laaw came to see me recently. When he returned to canada he told everyone at home that he really liked me and my family (that's what my spouse told me). So I think things have actually sorted out for us. Thanks to god for everything

Hey addcited123, I guess you already had an Interview if not then why is your case so long extended, any documentation requested by CIC, Is your case straight forward?

No I haven't been called for interview earlier. Ours is first (for both) and love marriage without involving my spouse's parents who are in canada. Becoz we belong to same religion bt different castes. U probably forgot bt I have already shared my case details with u. Anyways even if my case isn't straight forward still I have seen many couples in this forum with second and love marriage bt they have already been called for the interview and their case is in process. I don't know why mine got so extended. May be the VO went on holidays or fell sick ha what else. Still I am just fine at least they didn't forget my file which I was assuming ha.

Even i have got the same decision made status.

Dont worry it is a positive sign for all of us..

Hopefully it should be by a registered post and it takes about 1 or 2 weeks.

Hi Guys,

Last year (2012) I submitted my wife application which they sent to New Delhi, India on Dec 17, 2012.
My question is: I have been checking the status on cic.gc.ca and couple weeks ago they changed the status to: "Medical results have been received" then it got changed to "Medical results are in process.", then days later got changed to "Medical results have been completed".

And now they recently changed the status again to: "Medical results have been received". Can anyone please reply to this message what does this means, and how much longer will it take or is there anyway to contact and check the status of the application.

Hi,
Good to hear that you and your wife are having good time being together. I am exactly in the same position as you were during the application. My wife too is in USA and we went through all the processes including FBI report and so. My sponsorship was approved and the file was sent to New Delhi around September. They asked for her passport which we did send after. Later, they asked for FBI report which was a sort of tedious as was taking such a long time. It's been 4-5 months since we submitted our passport and they already had received the FBI report too. The online status keeps on saying in process with medicals received. Do you have any idea how long the wait is going to be. The main reason is that her passport is with the consulate in Delhi, so she even can't travel anywhere.
Looks like you got passport back in shorter time compared to what I am going through. I am from Nepal too.
ANy rough idea about the waiting period for returning of passport, and of course with a visa.

Thanks Maplegal .. I get into these mood swings when I try to justify why they are taking forever to make a decision. I got my GCSM notes today. Trying to make sense of it right now ... most activity was in and around the time they requested for my husbands passport (22/Sep 2012), then there is dead silence. Next they touched the application on 10/Dec 2012 noting a form is missing, we were notified to resend the documents they "couldn't find" on 4/Jan 2013.
Criminal and Security check not started. Wonder how long this will take once they start?

Hey Calgary2013, many in this forum including myself also applied for Visitors Visa while our FC application for PR was under progress but fewer got it by luck and few of them got

refused so like to take a chance then you can carry on unless you have some genuine reason to visit Canada or else I suggest you to wait for PR approval.

My visiting visa was also rejected. Better dont waste your money.

address still the same

Have u tried contacting mp? Guys now i am in a real confusion.. I want to contact MP but I am also scared if it will delay things.. Guys please pls pls let me know... i dont know what to do..I am almost getting into depression

This is just a thought that we discussed a few days back. There is no such confirmed cases. Thats why I asked everyone who got there approval in July to confirm whether they went through MP. One of them confirmed he didnt..


Rest of those who got DM, could you please confirm whether you went through MP.... Just analyzing to make a prediction
