We have made an application under family class sponsorship on 22nd October which was received by Mississauga Office on 25th October 2012 and on 3rd December received Sponsorship approval by post. Since then that is more than six weeks means one and half month has passed we have heard nothing from Delhi Office what should we do, please advice ...mumble apscorpion and all other seniors please tell how to find out the status of our application.

Congrats on the first stage approval! Did you check ecas with your new application number? What is the status? Also have you not received the PPR?

and, file transfer to India since than no PPR or nothing so I am just wondering how long does it takes to request ppr form delhi.

Anyone hav same application?, and any progress where as I did not get anything after that.

Yeah.. in our case we got all our documents notarized too inlcuding marraige certificate by the lawyer and did not got it attested by indian embassy.. for fingerprinting( if you need pcc from other country apart from india) we had to get it attested by external affairs as well..

hi cal2can, i dont know how different is your case to mine. but since my husband and i stayed out of india and got married in india, we were asked to notarize the certificate and get it attested by the indian embassy and ministry of foreign affiars in my country of residence. this process is called apostillisation.
i wud also recommend u to talk to a notarer or an immigration consultant - he may charge some 500 rs.

You are right about processing times according to cic website but i have observed many cases which received passports in 2-3 months as well.....so i am hoping it to come very soon. Also is it ok if i visit India and stay there for 3-4 months and come back? does it impact the final results?

Hi godprovides, as far as u have mentioned, u hav submitted ur passport to CHC. If you u hav submitted ur passport how can u visit india without a passport?

I agree with wat u say, there are case where people have received passport in 2-3 months....but if you properly analyze u will see that those people had applied long back and they had received AOR with a delay hence their passport processing was done quickly..to mention, there is one case where the person applies in April 12 and received AOR in Aug 12...passport request in Sept 12 and he has rchd canada in Dec 12...if you see the time take from the day he has applied (i.e. Apr 12) is 8 month...in our case we have rcvd AOR and passport request much more quickly than anticipated....as a whole, the process wont go beyond 8-10 months for sure...
