New Delhi - 2012 applicants

Hello guys,

I am new to this forum. I have filed for my wife in Oct 2012 and we have sent the passport to NDVO on 25th November 2012 and since then we are still waiting for anything to hear back from CHC. Thanks to our courier service that we know that passport was safely delivered to them and CHC didn`t even send acknowledgement of it. Anyone who has sent passport around Oct or Nov 2012? How much time they usually keep the passport before giving it back? can anyone share the idea please. Thanks!

in my case my wife is in Canada and i have applied my process from India (i.e. outside canada)...i m away from my wife since last 9 months.. :'(

in times of frustration....u tend to either agree and disagree to wat is told to u....i dont think being positive has got to do anything with the processing of ur visa...lol

went to the embassy today...they told me that shud chk my status online only..they cannot tell anything. also i shud send a mail for any enquiry...which i've already sent 2 months back...so it was of no use at alll....waste of time...

Try hiring a lawyer.

But seriously, Go to MP's office personally. I hope you have ordered GCMS notes in the meanwhile. They take 3-4weeks to come.

Hi, i had submitted my passport in first week of Oct'12 and my status on web site is still showing "Application Received". Blue Dart has given confirmation on delivery of passport to CHC. As far as what was told to me by my lawyer there is no confirmation given by CHC when they either receive or send the passport post processing is done. You will have to wait for the return of ur prepaid envelope that u hav sent along with ur passport. There is as such no time specified as to how long CHC will keep ur passport, but processing time for New Delhi will not go beyond 8-10 months (from the time u hav received ur AOR) in case of Spouse sponsorship..

No one knows when you will receive the passport back from New Delhi Embassy.It will be returned only after Decision has been made on your file...Good luck

Is there a confirmation that NDVO gives when it receives the passport? As far as i was told by my lawyer that no confirmation is given when the passport is either received or once it is processed and sent by NDVO. You just have to wait for the return of your prepaid envelope (i.e. SPEED POST envelope as there is no prepaid private courier service available in India) that you had submitted when u sent the passport.
Does anyone know of a contact number or email id on which i can contact to get the stauts? I have submitted my passport on 30th Sept and still it shows "Application Received". I have not received any updated from thereon...
