I need a suggestion . I applied for PR in july .and sent my passport on oct 29th.. and there is no update on my ecas since then and it just says application received on july 4th. I have temporary resident visa of 10 years for canada. I am thinking of requesting my passport back. coz i want to visit my husband on our anniversary which is on 8th feb. what is the procedure of requesting passport back? and how many days it will take to get my passport? and would it delay my process

I would really appreciate your help

Even im gonna do that day after tommorow
i think u just mail them n they'll contact u next day or so
and the passport will b sent in 2-3 working days.
i think dats hw it works.
Someone earlier told me this on the forum

Going by the forum i cn say it doesnt affect ur processing.
There was an applicant who din giv the passport initially when reqquested as he/she ws in uae/dubai.
NDVO was informed abt this n the passport was submitted when the same person cud come to India.
NDVO got the passport in the mornin and issued the VISA by evening.
Of course the processing of the file was continued and Hence complete...

i read that case too.. I think i'm gonna wait for 2 weeks and if still it doesnot changes then i'l request my passport back. well thanks for the help.
