New Delhi - 2012 applicants

I received acknowledgement for passport after 3 months, when I already know about it through GCMS notes. So not sure if sending an email will help.
I m also waiting for almost 8 months now, thinking of requesting my passport back, if the quota thing is correct for this year. Not sure how to find about it. Confused.

Yes its crazy to wait for as long as you did. I think requesting back for passport will come down to personal decision. Currently no one can tell for sure how long will the process take.

You're the first case I've noticed here who has a success story with a second PPR...you should be proud of yourself it took longer than average but you had to live apart from your PP for what 4 days ?

Thank you Thinkpad. I think I m the only one in this forum who got 2nd PPR by, asking me to come to ND visa office, submit my passport. And got back the passport with visa by evening.

No harm in giving it a shot...response may take weeks or months...

This was the initial email I received on 22-Nov-12.

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in canada.

We wish to inform you that your medical results are expiring on 14/12/2012. Therefore, if visa is issued to you, you will be required to travel to canada before 14/12/2012.

We have been trying hard to establish contact with you over telephone but there is no response on any of your contact numbers.

If you are interested in travelling to canada before the above mentioned that then please personally contact our office with your valid passport as soon as possible ( Between Monday to Thursday, before 10 AM).

And i replied them, saying that I can come down to ND visa office on 26th with my valid passport. So, I flew from UAE to Delhi on 25th Nov-12. On 26th Morning I gave my passport at the visa gate and told me come and collect it at 2 PM. This is how I got my visa.

What a dissappointed news for all of us. NDVO have extended their processing time from 9 months to 10 months again!!!!!! Oh god please help us. ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

hi manveen. i havent sent it as yet. i thought wait for the 3 months to get over for pass request. which is today. So going to send it over weekend. I will make sure i send u message.

thanks... but i read sm posts here on the forum ... tht requesting pasport back myt delay the case...

Anyone is this type of situation :

PPR received on September 15th and since then no updates on eCAS nor any news from New Delhi Office.The status still shows " Application Received"...Just wondering anyone else in the same situation.....

Hi, tahsinmohammad I m also april 2012 applicant and PPR on 25th august 2012. ND recieved my pp on 4th of September. My Ecas also still showing "Application received" and "Medical results recieved".
