hello all,

I'm getting more and more frustrated.

It is now 4.5 months, almost 5, since ND received my husbands passport and we have not heard a single thing. No phone call, no e-mails, nothing. No request for additional documents either! CIC stills says application received.

My MP has not answered her phone for one month, and I went to the office and they couldn't help me then. I will go again on monday, but this is becoming unbearable!

We filed out application on March 6, and everything was going so quickly and smoothly until they got our passport, not they're telling us nothing.

I cannot afford to visit him until the beginning of January, so if he is not approved before than it will be another 70 days apart ONTOP of the 1 year we have already been living separate.

Is anyone else from march still waiting? Why have they not sent us ANYTHING? I have so much additional communication proof to give to them...I can send it the moment they ask...My husband has his phone with him at all times and is waiting for the post everyday.

Our case isn't as straight forward as most of yours, but five months with his passport still seems so long. He was living in australia for 4 years before we got married, it is a love marriage, and we are from different countries, so I understand these things will make it take longer..but we were not expecting this long.

Really I did not know earlier that this Canada process sucks also big time.
There is no proper sequence of managing files, no proper communication,
and also they are playing with people's emotions, come on to what extent
a couple has to go to prove there relationship is genuine. Its really ridiculous.
What r they trying to prove.

Yes, I agree with you. 5 months is huge time. I don't even think its legal to hold a passport for that long. Is there any reason why the MP has not been able to provide any answers? Did you write to the delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca regarding your situation?
