New Delhi - 2012 applicants

Hey guys,

I haven't received the passport back yet after getting DM on Oct 1st.

While mailing the passport we provided a cover letter mentioning the new contact address in India as the earlier communication address on file was my lawyer's address in Canada...

Is it still possible that ND VO mailed the passport to some other address and ignored the address mentioned in our cover letter.

It shouldn't take that long for the passport to reach GGN from Delhi..

Dont worry.... You will get your passport within this week.... ND will never send passport out of country, if they never called you to verify mailing address, they will follow the address you provided on the cover letter you sent with your passport.

Would that be a problem?? I mean I am a canadian citizen but would the VO ask for any document from canada that I would not b able to provide while in india??
And another question:
I will b travelling india on visitor visa so based on this visa, will i b able to work in india??

Regarding your first question, there wont be any issue as long as you keep your stay for 10-15 days. And as far as i know, ND rarely ask anything from the sponsor after you sent your application. They mainly ask for documents from the applicant.

For your second question, I dont know what to say, its good to stay away from any trouble...

I am planning to stay in india until my husband gets his visa and i will come bqck wih him...so do u think it would create any problem?? I will take my pay stubs as a record of my employment!!

Started processing sep 28th and decision made on Oct 1st...

Also my ECAS was showing Application received till Sep 30th and it directly changed to Decision Made on Oct 1st...

Mailing address still shows up as my lawyer's address in Canada but there is no way they would send the passport outside India...

NDVO received Aug. 27,2012
ECAS "In Process" Sep. 26,2012


NO CHANGE THEN AFTER!?!??!
