If ur new passport doesn't refer to the old one. I wouldn't bother sending them a photocopy. Then they might insist on having it. But if ur new passport bears the reference of the old one, you may advise them that you don't have it a s it was destroyed and that's why you have a new passport. Good luck. This is my opinion you may want to consult other folks on the forum with their views as well as s I am a newbie on this forum.

It refers to the Old passport and it's number and issuance date is written on it.. I dont know what to do..

Hi brar.arsh,

the reason why NDVO asks our old passport is to check for travel histories, any other visa rejections ....

I feel, if you have a photocopy of all the pages of passport may be u can send it to the VO and tell them in a letter that u have misplaced the old passport but had a photocopy of it which you are sending it for reference...

Please give a search for ur old passport...

The applicant is Indian (male), and the sponsor is a Canadian citizen (female)

My Case is the same as yours and with the same timelines.....My wife is Canadian citizen as yours and i am the applicant.....
But i don't understand why ND VO is taking time forr the april applicants as i have the straight forward case....
Any suggestions what we can do next.... M very worried.....

What does address change you are reffering to, My file online does indicate the canadian address but it shows as application and medicals received. Does the canadian address mean anything? or it has to be changed to the India address as a sign.... any thoughts on this.

Upto now i haven't heard of such thing before..All apps first got DM in ecas or Address change n then only they gt the PP back with visa..This is the first case whr ecas is updated later...Still its always a good news...

I agree with the suggestion by thomas_saint. You may also put up a query for NDVO but they will take hell lot of time to reply. So better send them any scanned copies/photocopies you have with a cover letter. Its better to send documents as early as possible as NDVO is unpredictable as far as delays are concerned, however ensure that you are providing complete clear details.

Once the application is 'in process' the maximum time i have seen is 2 months. On an average it should be around 3-4 weeks if your passport is already with them.
