i am an april applicant i applied on 3 april and sent my passport to NDVO on 6 aug 2012, in worst case scenario if they call me for interview do my hubby needs to be with me because he is working in toronto because i just observed that most of the sponsors are coming down to india to join the interview, but they usually invite only the sponsored spouse for interview and not the sponsor as if the sponsor is on PR he needs to be in canada during the process and just a question guys, if i attend interview without my husband who is my sponsor is it ok or should he should fly to india to join me any advice.........ashunandal and seniors

It is not mandatory for your spouse to come India for your interview and in that case NDVO might will conduct phone interview with your husband. That's what my drones did she went for her interview by herself and after hers NDVO called her husband in Canada to conduct his phone interview.

Good News!! I checked my ecas today and it shows "in process" on 26th SEPT 2012.

I have a little strange question. Supposed, I get called to an interview and something comes up. Is it ok to tell CIC visa officer that I am discussing information about my file on this forum. I basically want to know if it is in any way illegal to be discussing our cases on a forum?

I am asking this because recently I discussed a question on application and I sent in the corrected form after discussion here as well as by calling CIC. SO incase the visa officer asks why you took so long to make this correction, will it affect my case, if I mention to him/her that I got the info from here?

What does the notes mentioned in the above few posts Mean and how it will help..
Also does new Delhi visa office work on Saturday. Also people who received their passports with visas how is it send by courier ot registered post. What happens if there is no one at home to sign for it. What happens next. Is it send back to Delhi or to the local passport office. Sorry too Many questions. It is becoming a nightmare having applied for this visa

From what date does it say it is In Process?

My timeline:
Application sent:may 18
Aor and sponsor approval:both on aug 21
Ppr:sep 1( but did not send pp. requested to send it towards end of process as am outside the country)
Ecas changed to in process on sep 26
